@HSBC_UK shocking telephone service, my elderly covid positive mother trying to make an online payment, needed to add mobile number to her account to authorise amount, was told to go into branch or wait 7 days for a letter - useless when payment due that day & she has covid 🤬

@HSBC_UK I've been a customer for 30+ years; in the last 10 I have been appalled at the craven disregard of HSBC for Chinese minorities & freedom loving Hong Kongers. Equality is the law in the UK, discrimination is illegal. Declared pronouns are idealogical/religious & 99.9% unnecessary

@HSBC_UK The genuinely funniest thing to me in the responses is a lot of people confused at what HR departments do. Like, imagine being this angry at name tags that help people and pointing at things other departments do to "own them". Really support this easy and supportive move.

@HSBC_UK How is this about equality and inclusion? Everyone Gemma works with knows her pronouns. As a customer, I don't need to know them because I'm not using them to her face, I'm calling her Gemma not her/she/hers. So who is the badge for, exactly?
