@JennieGow @bbcf1 I remember the first F1 race on ITV. It was around 5am, Moss was live in the studio before the race. When asked about @therealdcf1 ‘s chances he replied “The problem with Coulthard is that he’s just not enough of a bastard”. Jim Rosenthal nervously has to apologise!

@darrengrimes_ Channel 4 is an exemplar of how a public boby should work: it’s completely self funding, is independent of any commercial forces which it means it can concentrate on its job: providing quality programming and unbiased news (provided for them by ITV!).

If we are able to throw them at plug stage it is less wasteful altogether than throwing them at a finished stage. Yes... awful. But lesser of two evils for many of us.

@DavieDavieDave @ITV @Aida_Khan_ Nah, it's not that bad. It's the usual break every X minutes, but they all Star at the same time so all the breaks line up. The caption typos are the bigger problem since they end up on VOD with the same issues.

I don't understand why a pre-recorded clip would have errors in the closed captions. #proofreading would have caught it. It feels like @ITV (and the others) not taking #accessibility seriously. Also #stenographers are better than machines for audio transcription.
