No adverts normally increases quality, without the anchor of the Beeb, they would sell more and more advertising, meaning less quality. @andrewmcb Really sad to see her go but in all honesty it really dosent surprise me. Corrie is in such a mess. I can honestly see many more big exits coming unless @ITV realise the soap is in crisis. Many many long term fans are switching off myself included because of the dip in quality.
