BBC news is doing nothing to help this issue of over 75s paying the TVs licences from next year. That comes has no surprise. Only ITV have taken this up and will fight for people who are least able to fight.

The decision on the debates should be made by an independent panel...and if Johnson and Corbyn have a problem with what the panel suggests an empty chair can always fill in for them.

@TheSimonC90 At a push, Channel 4. I suspect we'd get a more creative entry. ITV and Channel 5 would be a car crash. I suspect none of the other networks realise the money and work involved, however. There is nothing to stop the BBC doing an amazing job, however. They simply don't want to.

If @ITV pick up Neighbours!! And it airs on ITV and STV itll definitely increase significantly in ratings. Scheduling problem could be an issue. Putting it on ITV2 instead could be an option and/or Britbox!! Its too big a show and brand to ignore!! #SaveNeighbours
