@JennieGow @bbcf1 I remember the first F1 race on ITV. It was around 5am, Moss was live in the studio before the race. When asked about @therealdcf1 ‘s chances he replied “The problem with Coulthard is that he’s just not enough of a bastard”. Jim Rosenthal nervously has to apologise!

@darrengrimes_ Channel 4 is an exemplar of how a public boby should work: it’s completely self funding, is independent of any commercial forces which it means it can concentrate on its job: providing quality programming and unbiased news (provided for them by ITV!).

If we are able to throw them at plug stage it is less wasteful altogether than throwing them at a finished stage. Yes... awful. But lesser of two evils for many of us.

@ITV what a load of rubbish on your last news bullitin. The woman with kids at the end lives in a posh house with no problems cos she went through a whole load of bread in one day. Ridiculous the cuts are only hurting the lower income families. 🤬🤬

Using their brand to selectively edit and remove important facts to suggest potential involvement by others might be how journalists like you work but I'd hope ITV behave with more integrity, we'll see.
