Been to town to pay a cheque into @AskNationwide but the machine couldn't process it. Yes I had it the correct way up. Although I did try it back to front and upside down too, just in case. So infuriating. Going to post it off now. More expense and inconvenience. Cheques. Pah!

@AskNationwide My frustration has been with the stock answer of ‘everything is sorted and all payments are up to date’ - if I’d been told “We’re still working through a backlog of missing payments” I’d have waited patiently (like I did for the first 48 hours).

@AskNationwide If the pension was sent during the time of the issue it may have been lost in the system and instead of being in my account before the holidays it may not now arive. This can not be sorted until the Government go back to work in the new year. much hardship.
