Been to town to pay a cheque into @AskNationwide but the machine couldn't process it. Yes I had it the correct way up. Although I did try it back to front and upside down too, just in case. So infuriating. Going to post it off now. More expense and inconvenience. Cheques. Pah!

@AskNationwide Nationwide has an app. That we have to use to authenticate a transaction. How hard would it be to simply put a notification in the app that says. Person XYZ is calling you now. Then the customer knows its legit

@AskNationwide Of course the customer can always call back, as long as they don't mind waiting in a phone queue. But that just wastes everyone time. The basic problem is this: Nationwide is asking for customer information when the customer has no way to confirm its Nationwide asking

@AskNationwide I received it about 10 minutes ago. Her bank Halifax were not able to complete the transaction because Nationwide were down yet again. Now Nat West today. Either you are all being hacked, or your systems are very precarious. Seems to be almost a daily occurrence now .

@AskNationwide Hi Dominika, Just to clarify. What your saying a customer should do when they receive a call from Nationwide. Is go twitter/facebook etc and ask if Nationwide is calling? Does your assistant stay on the line while the customer waits for a response?

@AskNationwide My point is simply why aren't new customers advised that they have to wait 7 working days before registering for online banking? I have received everything you referred to yet wasted 26 minutes trying futilely to register for Internet banking.
