Underlying issue is high gas costs and high proportion of gas used to power the grid at the moment, combined with low wind. Had a year or two of good prices due to low demand.

Although you do offer interest only mortgages, if you have an existing customer who's on a repayment mortgage with you, you absolutely willl not permit them to switch TO an interest only arrangement. Nationwide reduced my credit by more than 50% Their reason, second time they’ve done this, they sent a letter after the fact. They are worried about my ability to service my £0 debt. 😱 ******* Shite. Trying to claim back loss of AirB&B cost from @AskNationwide Flex Plus (covered by @avivaplc) and being told 'Underwriters are discussing it'. Checked Ts&Cs and we have complied with all.
