Underlying issue is high gas costs and high proportion of gas used to power the grid at the moment, combined with low wind. Had a year or two of good prices due to low demand.

J Alexander (@MindsWinner) reported@DebbsilouH @AskNationwide Same. I gave up and used my mastercard which went through no problem. Apparently visa debit cards from high street banks are blocked by the banks if the CVV isn't asked for, which they're not on Amazon anymore.

Neil Young (@elderpegasus) reported. @AskNationwide - the mortgage borrowing calculator on your website is broken - the additional borrowing amount has an arbitrary hard cap that gives you an unhelpful "This doesn't look right" with no explanation.
