@AskNationwide Using a technicality to wriggle out of honouring a fixed rate mortgage product. Zero transparency; zero customer service; zero ethics - shame on you. Borrowers beware!

In no other industry would you buy a product (let alone a mortgage) and expect such an abysmal service. Sort it out @CountrywideUK @AskNationwide

@HenryPryor @AskNationwide OK this is higher than expected but increases were inevitable. As recently as March 2022 Nationwide would fix for 5 years at 1.59 and in some cases as low as 1.34%.

Hey @AskNationwide the OLB Confirmation of Payee account format is not adequately explained and the help link goes to an unrelated page. Eventually I guessed sort code plus acc no separated by a space, my parents would have been stuck otherwise.

@HenryPryor @AskNationwide There is no way around this. House prices are unsustainable when rates are higher. Gov should support people on negative equity but must allow prices to drop on avg wage levels.

@AskNationwide do you have an idea of the wait time on phones? Been waiting 30 mins for mortgage help, couldn’t get through yesterday and product I wanted has already gone up £100 per month since then.

Hi @AskNationwide - I'm in the US and despite changing my timezone settings on my phone I'm unable to access the banking app, internet banking isn't recognising my details & I don't have a card reader with me. How can I transfer money to another account?

@HenryPryor @bradburymark @AskNationwide the same monthly payment on the mortgage as a high price low interest rate. So then you buy a high priced house. Then interest rates rise (because they sure cannot go down much more), and you lose your house.

@AskNationwide Just had a chat via the website option. Like you they couldn’t answer my query without me having to ring at my expense to resolve a problem of Nationwide’s making. There’s a reason why your customer service ratings are so poor. Shabby.
