@helengrantsays @santanderuk Bloody hell!! Someone tried to do this to D after his details were stolen online – they attempted to buy 2 Mercedes! – and his bank (@AskNationwide) shut everything down immediately. It was a pain to sort out but we're very grateful they were on the ball!

@AskNationwide Thank you it just has left me wondering why have someone go through verification, verify it is them placing the order, then block the transaction to have it verified a 2nd time.

My 91 year old uncle is a possible victim of fraud with someone opening a bank account using his address but @AskNationwide refuse to investigate because we aren't the (fraudulent) account holder! Any help available? @BBCWatchdog @PSNIArdsNDown
