@Tesco I took it to nationwide, which technically isn’t a bank, I’m going to NatWest today, hopefully they will take it, if not I will do what you suggest with my club card, thank you for your help, I will let you know how I get on .

@NatWest_Help just updated to iOS 14.6, the NatWest app no longer allows log in, still works on 14.5, so needs to be looked at by the app developers. Have done all the usual delete and reinstall etc.

@NatWestGroup 17 mins on hold to the natwest credit card fraud line, wtf? And the bloody natwest app doesn’t provide any assistance other than an automated bot. That’s shocking customer service. Or rather, that is zero customer service.

The platform, named "FourTwoThree," will provide SMEs with tools to measure Scope 3 emissions and develop transition plans, addressing a key gap in the market for smaller businesses lacking dedicated sustainability resources. The initiative reflects growing recognition among banks that supporting customer climate transitions represents both a commercial opportunity and regulatory necessity. Under emerging regulations, larger companies will be required to report on their supply chain emissions, creating demand for smaller suppliers to demonstrate their environmental credentials. NatWest's move positions the bank as a leader in sustainable finance for the SME market, where competition for climate-focused services is intensifying. @Mofoman360 Only a few major privatised companies (NatWest, BA, BT) are genuinely profitable without state support. Most others are either heavily debt-leveraged (e.g. water), rely on subsidies (e.g. rail), or suffer fragile market conditions (e.g. energy).

@skidders67 By phone or physically going into bank..? I had an issue with NatWest, but live abroad, went to my local branch, was seen and everything was resolved without any problems. Don’t go in angry, be pleasant…

@MartinSLewis I’ve been with NatWest about 40 yrs. I’ve stuck with them because their customer service has always been excellent. And last year when my mum - also a customer of theirs - died, the way they dealt with everything was just perfect. That experience has made me a customer for life.

I've since received a reply from a Natwest 'human' on X which shows some care and understanding. Which begs the question: why make automated responses the default, if good old fashioned human connection is the only thing that makes a customer feel human themselves?

@MartinSLewis Been with Natwest since they were invented: with National Provincial before the merger with Westminster. Any problems (very few over the years) quickly resolved. No local branch any more - but then, no local branch of any bank...
