  Been Crypto trading. RBS debit card- 1st transaction went through, next blocked. Call from NatWest fraud team- account frozen. Passed all security questions, but instructed to go to a branch to show some ID. Also had lecture on cons of trading. WTF it’s my money! @NatWest_Help 🤬

  @Tesco I took it to nationwide, which technically isn’t a bank, I’m going to NatWest today, hopefully they will take it, if not I will do what you suggest with my club card, thank you for your help, I will let you know how I get on .

  @NatWest_Help. I accidentally paid funds to a NatWest Credit Card via faster payment. This credit card was closed a few years back. It took me 3 calls to get some info & I was advised it could take up to 21 days. I am a NatWest customer & it was paid to NatWest Account.

  @NatWest_Help I have been trying to get a bank statement with my address on it! Is so difficult! I need a proof of address to get some help as I have Covid #natwestbank services in that respect is appalling! You should be able to get that on the NatWest app #appalling

  @NatWest_Help Cont... the NatWest app lets me log in then I just get a blank screen. HMRC think the problem is with NatWest, as I can log in. I've been told it's not a known issue with you, but it's been happening to me for 2 weeks now. I've made several payments to HMRC this way before..cont.

  I’ve contacted via email, dm and many phone calls. Each member of staff passes you onto another and lies. It’s clear why NatWest branches are closing down.

  @NatWest_Help @NatWest_Help I am in severe financial hardship. Gotogate conceded my £1,298 refund weeks ago, yet NatWest is holding my funds until June 7th. Ombudsman Case PNX-6001799-B1R6 is open. Why won't you provide provisional credit to a loyal customer in need?

  @MartinSLewis @DrFionaCares I am leaving NatWest after 40 yrs because my nearest branch is now over 7 miles away, there are no cash points & they can’t explain why my second set of 2 debit cards refuse to work in card machines. And don’t get me started on bloody Cora… Customer service is dead.

  @jet2tweets are you aware of PSD2 SCA booking issues with NatWest credit cards. @NatWest_Help are saying you cannot transact with each other and my credit card gets declined. Very poor joint experience

  When I pushed for answers your team implied I was part of a fraud pattern — despite your own agent’s written warehouse confirmation. PayPal and NatWest can’t help due to direct debit rules. Now pursuing Small Claims Court. All evidence documented.

The repricing marks an abrupt shift in a market that had been steadily improving since late 2025. According to Mortgage Solutions, the average two-year fixed rate residential mortgage has climbed from 4.32% to 4.82% as of 4 March, while the five-year fix rose from 4.94% to 4.96%. The catalyst: soaring oil and gas prices following US and Israeli strikes on Iran that sent energy markets into turmoil. The two-year swap rate rose from 3.33% on 27 February to 3.65% by 6 March, while the five-year swap rate climbed from 3.5% to 3.8%, according to Moneyfacts. Swap rates — the benchmarks lenders use to price fixed mortgages — move in tandem with market expectations for Bank of England policy. In late February, traders had fully priced in two Bank of England rate cuts by the end of 2026, but by 3 March, the chance of two rate cuts had been completely wiped out, according to the HomeOwners Alliance. The shift reflects a brutal recalculation of inflation risk.
