@BBCBenThompson actually spoke with @Plusnet yesterday as I was out of contact paying over the odds asked if I could have the "new customer" deal was basically told no even though I have been a customer for many years. So I've cancelled for a cheaper deal. #nodiscountforloyalty

@tabamatu @DrunkRes Erm - BT Group own Plusnet, and Openreach will still be responsible for the line. If connection issues are due to line noise, unless the router is better, may not make a huge difference...

@Oojoodeboo Hi there we don't provide roaming services in the US so it could be costly to use our network. If you did want to though it would be best to update your smart cap to at least £20. Alternatively you might want to get a temporary SIM from a local provider - Adam - Plusnet Sheffield

@PaulbernalUK @happyborg @Plusnet oh that's a shame. And re the cheap mob, my main handset that I use as a hotspot needs a battery change (I have to dismantle it) so I recently bought an emergency cheap one purely as a back up hotspot if my handset dies. It's only the Alcatel £40 but it def has a hotspot.

So what is the solution when your @Plusnet SIM just stops working and you can't make any calls or texts (>24 hrs now)? According to app/website etc, it's give them a call. Errrrm, slight issue there...

Any of my fellow tweeps on PlusNet for their mobile? I’m currently on EE & my 2 year contract ends next month, so looking for cheap sim only deal on a network that piggybacks on EE’s network. A 30 day sim only contract with 30GB data, unlimited mins/texts is £10 p/m. Any reviews?

@LouiseScott1377 Hi Louise, I'm really sorry to hear you were having issues with your broadband. I can see you were able to get in touch with us over the phone and you're now showing back online, I hope you didn't miss your doctor's call due to this. -Tony Plusnet Sheffield
