@plusnethelp Plusnet, I stopped contacting you a while back because of my frustration with your service. I was promised call backs which never happened and other responses. The reality is that I’m still without a service that you promised me at the start of the contract

with the YouView box now refusing to do anything, again, I have reinstated the bypass and tuned the TV directly seeing as the distribution amp in the building is operating normally again, a call to Plusnet is in order to see if they can get me a new box or if not cancel the tv

A few annoyances today, overcharged by a few pounds by Plusnet (a charge they said they'd apply in July) and the incompetent morons at Northern Powergrid sending me emails about the future of the network that they fail to maintain, not sure how the latter got my email address

I just signed up for Starlink - finally gave in, the EE 4G has been broken for 3/4 days - now basically running on candle power - back onto the fallback BT copper broadband @ Plusnet - 3MB connection and costing me £28 a month on a 1 year contract - a lot more for the standard line rental and broadband if I do not take the 1 year contract. So now as I am in Caithness 3 miles away from a telephone exchange I need to pay EE for semi-decent 4G broadband when it works, and BT through Plusnet to have a working telephone for emergencies if 4G fails - as it does. And yet I still have the emails from the Scottish Government from over 8 years ago saying everyone would be on fast fibre connection by 2020 or around that time. I checked with Openreach and they have no intention of laying fibre to the property even though they can get access to a Government grant of over £4,400 to do so. A company, Highland Broadband is busy taking these rural fibre broadband grants and doing their best to get the north of Scotland rural and small towns connected - I am signed up for a 1GB fibre connection - supposed to be getting installed this summer - I just cant wait that long so - yet another expense for a poor pensioner (me) having to pay out for yet another broadband connection with Starlink. As I am in contract to Plusnet (BT), EE I can see if Highland Broadband do deliver the fibre by July - I will have 4 contracted broadband accounts until the contracts run out. If Only the Scottish Government had kept to their promises I would only need to have one connection.

@Plusnet Thanks, I will give that a go! Funnily enough, it's little weird and annoying issues with websites not working right which is what I wanted to post about. Are you able to assist at all?

@Plusnet I have been with Plusnet 30 years of wonderful service but the thing keeping me tied to plusnet was my email address, Plusnet are withdrawing their email service, now they are providing less and putting their prices up, with nothing deterring me from moving away!

@Plusnet engineer just finished installing full fibre. How long until service is on?

@ArmchairAdml Got my mum Plusnet full fibre 145 package for 25 quid (existing customer 2Y contract) and 1p mobile 1000 mins and 10gb data for £7.20 recently (no contract). She's 82 and makes most of her calls on WhatsApp and telegram nowadays anyway. Did have to do away with the landline tho.

  • ComTekMan
    Carl Fandidango (@ComTekMan) reported

@CommsOmbudsman 3 BT Group companies (Plusnet, EE, Openreach) pass the buck—no one takes responsibility. Simple Google Maps check could have prevented the whole mess. Customer paying £63/mo out-of-contract for unreliable service, distress & risk to health (needs line for health).

  • Consumer4You
    Wanga-unLimited (@Consumer4You) reported

@Plusnet No other provider required. Please cancel the service at end. Why is calling the only option? Old world?
