For what it's worth I was happy with PlusNet. Cheap, with good UK support the few times I ever needed it. Only moved away from them to get fibre.

Great if you want to pay monthly direct debit to be ignored as soon as there is a faulty that the engineer say will be fixed tomorrow and its now a week later and Plusnet doesn’t reply
