Dread to think what happens in an emergency. And how do I get hold of @Plusnet Apparently I call them (!) or tweet. Not good enough!

Tom Bacon (@TomABacon) reported@pipmadeley @Plusnet This is going to sound weird, but I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be related to my Sky Q box going to sleep! Had to change those settings. (I'm still working at 1am so it was most inconvenient...)

Only the other night we were watching Happy Valley on iPlayer (TV connected to router by ethernet cable) when connection dropped at the usual time. Had to watch last 10 mins on iPlayer app via mobile data...

Plusnet texted me to say they're expecting to fix it at about 3:20pm - whether that's when they expect it to come back up or when they'll take initial stock of what the problem is and then work out what to do with it, I don't know

Kat (@mostly_sleepy) reported@pipmadeley @Plusnet Try setting all your devices to static IPs (will be in DHCP in the router settings), that solved a very similar-sounding problem my printer/laptops-talking-to-printer and FireTV had on my network.
