Time to step up now @PostOffice. No matter what it costs, put it right as best you can. Compensate these people for ANYTHING they have lost as a result of this. Careers, homes, reputations. You did it, so fix it.

@steveparks What gets my about the terrible #Horizon debacle is that it isn't just the @PostOffice senior managers who have sat on the truth of this for decades. There must be any number of their technical people who must have known the truth of what happened but, AFAIK, no whistle blowers.
-
Bryan Smith #RejoinEU (@BpsmithUk) reported
@rEUnion_PartyUK @Fujitsu_Global @PostOffice Well, the Horizon software was singled out as culpable due to the bugs & errors by the judge, so it was the reason for the accounting errors. The Post Office is culpable because it covered them up, denied they happened & pushed for prosecuton despite knowing.

davidallengreen (@davidallengreen) reported
@david_conn @JudiciaryUK @PostOffice An extraordinary system failure - where a swarm of micro-decisions by judges and juries (on the evidence put before them) made decisions, no doubt in good faith But the weakness of that evidence was hidden Garbage In, Garbage Out
-
Daniel Soule (@WriterDanSoule) reported
I have a friend who lost everything because of the @PostOffice's rank moral wrong doing. Tim Parker can say it was an "history" problem. Yeah, but one you knew about and didn't make right immediately. & have forced by the court to do anything about. #PostOfficeScandal
-
Esther (@EstherMaile) reported
@jennieuk @RobB_W1 @PostOffice Long story short it was the computer’s fault and I never even got an apology and/or promotion!!
-
Steveer (@steveremain) reported
@faisalislam Dreadful episode and there MUST be a public enquiry for these poor people. Someone MUST be responsible? It’s almost vindictive how the @PostOffice treated these people? Feel so sorry for them all, seeing their stories on the news. #PostOfficeScandal
-
Dave Owen (@No_Salad) reported
@davidallengreen @JudiciaryUK @PostOffice It just seems amazing that they simply believed that a significant number of their sub-postmasters were stealing substantial sums of money and that they'd just never noticed it before this system was introduced.
-
Cheeky Chappie (@Cheeky_Chap_UK) reported
It seems almost unbelievable that #PaulaVennells was awarded a CBE for services to the @PostOffice Surely in the wake of what the #PostOfficeScandal has uncovered, there needs to be a full criminal investigation of all those involved from the top down.
