@PostOffice @scanx4 Before I could say 'oh and I need to pay for the envelope too,' the guy at the front till started accusing me of stealing the bag and made a great show of publicly admonishing me! It was HORRIBLE and a shame that I now feel unable to go into my local post office.

@dolphinpcb @PostOffice Peter. Their remains so much inference from the name of the log file they still use. The Known Errors Log which logically implies there are errors they don't know about yet. These unknown errors are now the default reason for losses until POL can prove otherwise.

@PostOffice @scanx4 I too have had a horrible experience at the Davidsons Mains PO that has made me feel unable to use this branch. After buying/using a mailing bag whilst in a busy Christmas queue this year. I finally got to the till and said the package was headed I internationally.

@JoanMcAlpine @PostOffice The big problem is that you would need to be a saint to run a post office biz. There is no money in it unless you are at the top of @PostOffice . And additionally you have to deal with upper PO management which has had major systemic and structural issues.

@PostOffice the Leuchars post office has been without label-printing facilities for at least a week. Can you advise on how long this might take to resolve please? They’ve had IT out to ‘fix’ it but still no joy after quite a while now.

@richardlendon @PN28256153 @PostOffice Don't know yet: it'll get refunded to my sister who bought it as a present, so the only way I can check is to keep bothering her. Obviously, any signal will depend both on the post getting there plus Mammut actually dealing with the refund, so could take time.
