Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Dunfermline and nearby locations:

  • Jusmasel2015 Tim McCormack (@Jusmasel2015) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@dolphinpcb @PostOffice Peter. Their remains so much inference from the name of the log file they still use. The Known Errors Log which logically implies there are errors they don't know about yet. These unknown errors are now the default reason for losses until POL can prove otherwise.

  • SenoraEco Robin Cathcart (@SenoraEco) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice @scanx4 I too have had a horrible experience at the Davidsons Mains PO that has made me feel unable to use this branch. After buying/using a mailing bag whilst in a busy Christmas queue this year. I finally got to the till and said the package was headed I internationally.

  • gm_glendamac59 GM🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@gm_glendamac59) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice do post offices not have to be open as essential service? Local one to close from 1-9 January ‘22!

  • lauranels Laura Nelson (@lauranels) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice Thanks Ryan, I phoned the customer services number, great effort from the tech support person to help sort it out (think his name was Fraser). My broadband is still very patchy and dropping out sometimes, but hopefully will improve soon.

  • shellbryson Shell Bryson (@shellbryson) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

    @Raphaelite_Girl @PostOffice @edinhelp I would not have a problem with that, surprisingly enough 😃

  • cass4edinburgh CM (@cass4edinburgh) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@RoyalMailHelp @PostOffice It’s your website I booked the redelivery on! That’s a key issue here. And I have, believe me.

  • SenoraEco Robin Cathcart (@SenoraEco) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice @scanx4 Before I could say 'oh and I need to pay for the envelope too,' the guy at the front till started accusing me of stealing the bag and made a great show of publicly admonishing me! It was HORRIBLE and a shame that I now feel unable to go into my local post office.

  • lynnpolkey Lynn (@lynnpolkey) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice Waverley Mall PO - counter staff lovely. Member of staff dealing with ‘self-service’ tills, curt and unhelpful - perhaps a different position in the branch would be better for them?

  • suebright01 susan bright (@suebright01) reported

@PostOffice @PostOfficeNews About 30 mins all in, which is a huge chunk of someone’s lunchtime. Self service points would have solved some of the issue but quite a few dropping parcels - There must be a more efficient way to print labels and drop off.

  • shaunriley1954 Shaun Riley (@shaunriley1954) reported

@PaulTheDon89 @KateJon41196503 @PostOffice I have never had any problems in the past.

  • THDANZ HELZ (@THDANZ) reported

Imagine the banks around you close down and then @PostOffice say they don't change money because they "aren't making money" from that 😒 good to know they're unhelpful on purpose

  • missV90222637 miss V (@missV90222637) reported

@PostOffice I completed a CN22 form electronically when I bought the label. I didn’t attach it though to the parcel. I attached only the label. Is this a major issue??

  • PaulTheDon89 Paul (@PaulTheDon89) reported

@KateJon41196503 @PostOffice @shaunriley1954 Yup. Find it so much easier if customer fills one in first for NI. Stops any errors or spelling mistakes 😬

  • TheDerbywalk John Sandys (@TheDerbywalk) reported

@PostOffice @RoyalMailHelp Apologies. However, it was allegedly sent from a post office, so there is a connection, and the Royal Mail tracking service is saying 'awaiting collection' and has been for 72hrs.

  • MrPalmer111 MrPalmer (@MrPalmer111) reported

AVOID @PostOffice travel card money at all cost. Bunch of liars and thieves!! Rude staff who talk over you as well 😡

  • mrsbluemoon8 Joanna Barrass (@mrsbluemoon8) reported

@PostOffice @parcelforce I posted a laptop with you almost 2 weeks ago. Paid £72. For some reason it’s returned to sender HOWEVER it is yet to get back to me. No one seems to be able to help me. Call centre hung up on me. Can someone please help?

  • P___diddy___ Pee_did_he (@P___diddy___) reported

@carolinejwatson @MartinSLewis banking cash fair enough 👌🏻 I am pro cash ironically surely the banks/postoffice can set up a service in most towns and cities 🤔 my church accepts donations via card payment , tap tap no more rattle rattle lol

  • pplrstupid977 peoplearestupid77 (@pplrstupid977) reported

@FizzyWizzy29 @PostOffice Its the norm unfortunately. Post Office actually have no say in this as most POs are franchises inside of shops now and its down to the shop to put on staff. They'll only provide the bare minimum.
