  • SenoraEco
Robin Cathcart (@SenoraEco) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice @scanx4 I too have had a horrible experience at the Davidsons Mains PO that has made me feel unable to use this branch. After buying/using a mailing bag whilst in a busy Christmas queue this year. I finally got to the till and said the package was headed I internationally.

  • shellbryson
Shell Bryson (@shellbryson) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

    @Raphaelite_Girl @PostOffice @edinhelp I would not have a problem with that, surprisingly enough 😃

  • cass4edinburgh
CM (@cass4edinburgh) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@RoyalMailHelp @PostOffice It’s your website I booked the redelivery on! That’s a key issue here. And I have, believe me.

  • lynnpolkey
Lynn (@lynnpolkey) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice Waverley Mall PO - counter staff lovely. Member of staff dealing with ‘self-service’ tills, curt and unhelpful - perhaps a different position in the branch would be better for them?

  • SenoraEco
Robin Cathcart (@SenoraEco) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice @scanx4 Before I could say 'oh and I need to pay for the envelope too,' the guy at the front till started accusing me of stealing the bag and made a great show of publicly admonishing me! It was HORRIBLE and a shame that I now feel unable to go into my local post office.

  • Chris_ESF
Christopher Ferry (@Chris_ESF) reported from Ratho, Scotland

It's deeply concerning if @PostmanPat is the best the postal service has to offer on the frontline but having watched the 'Blue Flash' episode I realise that his laissez faire attitude extends to managers&those working behind the scenes. No wonder they're unprofitable #postoffice

  • gm_glendamac59
GM🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@gm_glendamac59) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice do post offices not have to be open as essential service? Local one to close from 1-9 January ‘22!

  • fucksakezoe
Z (@fucksakezoe) reported from Inverkeithing, Scotland

@PostOffice Top notch service from the post office, didn’t get soaked!

  • Jusmasel2015
Tim McCormack (@Jusmasel2015) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@dolphinpcb @PostOffice Peter. Their remains so much inference from the name of the log file they still use. The Known Errors Log which logically implies there are errors they don't know about yet. These unknown errors are now the default reason for losses until POL can prove otherwise.

  • andrewducker
Andrew Ducker (@andrewducker) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice Particularly at this time of year having to get to a post office, buy packing materials and boxes, take them home, pack things, and bring them back to post them is a pain. If you had experts in your larger units to wrap and pack I'd pay for the service!

  • lauranels
Laura Nelson (@lauranels) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@PostOffice Thanks Ryan, I phoned the customer services number, great effort from the tech support person to help sort it out (think his name was Fraser). My broadband is still very patchy and dropping out sometimes, but hopefully will improve soon.

Those poor, poor #postoffice workers. An unbelievable horror story of how normal, hardworking people get caught up in incompetent, arrogant systems that don't give a ****. #Horizon

  • pagechord
    Alan Royston (@pagechord) reported

@guardian I'm so delighted for these #subpostmasters, it should never have come to this. They had been tarnished as criminals, stealing from the #PostOffice, accused of theft. All lies! The Post Office did the stealing, they stole their lives. Shame on them, they should pay reparations.

  • number8buser
    Truth and Justice (@number8buser) reported

@PostOfficeNews @PostOffice YOU ARE QUITE SIMPLY A TOTAL DISGRACE OF A SERVICE.

  • terry_moran1
Terry Moran CB 💙 (@terry_moran1) reported

@VarchasPatel @PostOffice You and your family and many others have had to go through so much it’s a terrible tragedy. I do hope Justice will eventually be served and those responsible for the injustice are held to account.

  • wilsondan
    Dan Wilson (@wilsondan) reported

There's a worrying tone in the @PostOffice 'Horizon' story media coverage (esp on @BBCNews) that the problem was the technology. "It was the software." No! It's a story of institutional bullying, lying management, shameless cover up and self-interest. Humans are the villains.

  • chrisgoor
    Chris Goor (@chrisgoor) reported

The @PostOffice management should hang their heads in shame. Surely 700 postmasters were never 'on the take'. They put blind faith in a crappy computer system. #

  • cornwell167
    Elizabeth Cornwell (@cornwell167) reported

@AndrewBooton @PostOffice I hope they are,& these poor people are compensated,it was an utterly disgraceful episode.

  • DeExilio
Ștefan Iaonco (@DeExilio) reported from Copmanthorpe, England

A key issue in today’s Court of Appeal @PostOffice judgment is that PO - like some other bodies like HSE or RSPCA - acts as a Private Prosecutor. Given emerging issues with the Horizon IT system, it is more likely that a police/ @cpsuk investigation would not have led to charges

  • Kilkeerock
    Siobhan O'Connell (@Kilkeerock) reported

@SeemaMisra7 @PostOffice @fujitsu_uk Fantastic news - just seen you on TV news. So happy for you but what a terrible ordeal you and other innocent people have gone through.

  • KebabGazz
    ♦️GARO♦️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇦🇲🇨🇾 (@KebabGazz) reported

@maljacqpr @PostOffice It’s just horrible to hear the sadness and upset in her voice. There are people out there that are responsible for this and need to brought to justice
