...@santanderuk took the settlement amount from my bank account. Almost £10,000. Eight days later, Santander have still not received the @webuyanycar amount. I am out of pocket. I have been trying to speak to someone, but as 'online Co' they do not have a dedicated customer..

  • heritage_jo Glitter JoJo 💙 #FBPE #JohnsonOut (@heritage_jo) reported from Birmingham, England

... Service number. I've tweeted them, DMd them on all social media platforms, but apart from a curt response on FB DM saying amount paid 26 August, with no other details, and no proof of payment, no one has contacted me. The amount has NOT been received by @santanderuk and they

@EwanToo @santanderuk Sounds like @santanderuk seriously sucks here. Banks have a fund for this type of thing. It's essential for banks to maintain trust in the electronic payment ecosystem or their whole model falls down & to do this thefts like this need to be quickly refunded with minimum publicity

  • JessFla_ECHO Jess Flaherty (@JessFla_ECHO) reported

@MorganBroadcast So sorry this happened to you, that’s bloody awful. Really hope @santanderuk do the decent thing - this was clearly fraud! Maybe @MartinSLewis could help you?

  • antoniac08 antonia (@antoniac08) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK How awful, hope you’re OK and that Virgin take some responsibility asap

  • AlixTraynor2 Alix Traynor (@AlixTraynor2) reported

@agegarton @MorganBroadcast @santanderuk You can't make a formal complaint to the Ombudsman until 8 weeks have passed and you've had a letter from the company (Santander) to say the problem cannot be resolved. Once the Ombudsman takes it on and comes to a decision, that decision is final and you cannot raise it again.

  • paradiseruins †Savannah♡ (@paradiseruins) reported

@MorganBroadcast Oh my god 😧 @MorganBroadcast I am SOOOO sorry this happened to you. Just reading the thread has given me such extreme anxiety I can’t even imagine how you must be feeling. I am in disbelief at how so much happened so quickly, and wtf @santanderuk ???

  • thejamestay James Taylor (@thejamestay) reported

@MorganBroadcast I’m a @santanderuk @bancosantander customer. Concerned at this story in terms of the treatment of a customer and the underlying security failings…

  • jeffefc1878 J (@jeffefc1878) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK I doubt this will help but As an ex-Santander employee… they’ve reset your online banking because they have access to your phone so they’ve gone “forgot log on details” entered in your card number and changing the 5 digit security number as OTP is sent to the phone 1/2

  • SLBirdintheTree Sarah Chambers🇺🇦💙 (@SLBirdintheTree) reported

@MorganBroadcast The sad thing is it shouldn’t take a Twitter storm for @santanderuk to do the right thing. Not everyone is tech literate. They should have done the right thing straightaway for you and for all customers who face this issue. It makes me angry and nervous as another customer.

  • J1M80_M3D James Medley ⚡️ (@J1M80_M3D) reported

@MorganBroadcast That sounds terrible I won’t be using @santanderuk in the future. My building society blocked my card when I tried to buy £250 of crypto once, I hope they would do the same if larger amounts of money were spent at any high street shop

  • clydey1 Deb Burfoot (@clydey1) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk I'm so pleased that you have this level of support.
