TalkTalk Issues Reports Near Paignton, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Paignton and nearby locations:

  • MandyPearse Mandy Pearse (@MandyPearse) reported from Teignmouth, England

@danslee @virginmedia That’s shocking customer handling Dan. If it’s any help I’ve actually found the guys @TalkTalk pretty good especially on tech issues around broadband.

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

So two number changes later, we no longer use the landline much. We’ve now got no extension sockets despite not ever having a problem before. We’ve spent hours talking to @TalkTalk but there’s one big problem....

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

Now I use my own router rather than the dodgy Chinese one supplied by @TalkTalk. I was also fairly confident that there was no problem with our internal wiring but the ‘engineer’ proceeded to cut the wires to all our internal sockets.

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

.@TalkTalk NEVER listen to what you are saying to them. It now looks as if I will have to sue @TalkTalk for the negligence of their engineer in disconnecting our sockets unnecessarily. Aaaarrrggghhh!

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

If you have ever suffered a Broadband fault you will have some idea of the hell that is @TalkTalk customer service. A thread on how not to do things.

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

We waited in for the engineer. Surprisingly he turned up on time. He said that he was here to fix the ‘bridge tap’ which was all he did. @TalkTalk said there was a problem with our internal wiring.

  • kellyvicker Kelly Louise Vicker (@kellyvicker) reported from Borough of Torbay, England

@TalkTalk I was told Thursday I would be getting a call from a manager within 24/48 hours which hasn’t happened. I want to leave your company and you can’t even get that right let alone the 2 years of awful customer service and awful connection. I would like some answers please!

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

I then spoke to a fault manager who also said the problem was my router. I told him that the fault was with the external BT Openreach wiring. I plugged in the crappy Huawei @TalkTalk router and lo and behold there was an external fault.

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

I tried @TalkTalk’s ‘live chat’ to explain that their engineer had decimated our house wiring but I was then told the problem was my router. (Lesson to self -Do NOT use live chat)

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

He then pronounced that he had ‘improved’ the speed and left saying it would get better still in a couple of days. The problem was that there was no change - other than courtesy of @TalkTalk we no longer had working extension sockets.

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

The problem is that you cannot trust @TalkTalk. They lost our data to a plague of Nigerian hackers who pestered us daily. Then they gave us a new telephone number which was from another customer whose data had been lost.

  • alanprice65 Alan Price (@alanprice65) reported from Borough of Torbay, England

@TalkTalk Hi. I'm losing hope here. Are 0808 numbers free from TalkTalk landlines with no 60min limit, as shown on your website? I'm being told I get charged for all 0800, 0808 and 0500 numbers. Help!!!

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

It started with @TalkTalk trying to be helpful. Their “tests” had detected a fault with our line - so the email said - and they would send an engineer free of charge to fix it.

  • drumting James Sharp (@drumting) reported from Totnes, England

    Internet down again @TalkTalk 🙄

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

.@TalkTalk then refused to send an engineer out to fix the damage they had done. They are insisting on me sending another crappy router as apparently they cannot test the line (despite saying at the beginning of all this that their tests had shown a problem with our wiring.)

  • shaldonangler Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England

@TalkTalk Hi, a new box is now (belatedly) on its way but does not record. Why have you degraded the service and increased the price?

TalkTalk Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • StupotLFC StuLFC (@StupotLFC) reported

@OpenreachHelp There is crackling on the line which is sometimes so bad we have to terminate the call. She has complained to @TalkTalk who have sent engineers. They then refer it to @WeAreOpenreach who have also sent engineers. The problem is never resolved.

  • aiello_matthew Matthew Aiello 🦁 (@aiello_matthew) reported

@ClaireH_NN @TalkTalk You can google Tristia Harrison’s email address go straight to her she’s the CEO of talk talk group and probably Nick Gunga would be good to go direct with a complaint!

  • TheBigDarrel TSI Darrel 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 (@TheBigDarrel) reported

@TalkTalk The Internet at 64 zoo Lane isn't working, fix it please

  • martinbarry68 Martin Barry (@martinbarry68) reported

Still no word from @TalkTalk network team, another day ticks on #talktalk #CustomerServiceWeek #pathetic

  • palmer_call CT Call (@palmer_call) reported

@TalkTalk I'm out of contract so I don't care to dm you. Just putting it out there that @Talktalk are useless. Lots of issues this yr and no recompense despite loyalty but quick to skyrocket my bill the minute I'm out of contract. Your auto-service doesn't even direct properly.

  • _Freakyclown_ freakyclown (@_Freakyclown_) reported

@TalkTalk Oh cool, how do I cancel my account? - For real though... I haven't had it long enough to have a first bill. Please advise!

  • cplatts77 Chris Platts FIRP (@cplatts77) reported

@TalkTalk Yet ANOTHER month of being charged for late payment. I have been assured every month my DD has been set up. Why should I pay for your errors?? I was told someone would call for my official complaint-NO call. Surprise surprise

  • rmasters Richard Masters (@rmasters) reported

@Kallum_Of_York @TalkTalk @YorkDigitalCity Hi Kallum. Not the story you'll hear from a lot of people but I've been a TalkTalk customer for many years & always had good service. I was a v early adopter of UFO here and it's been excellent. Recommend always contacting UFO team direct, not TalkTalk.

  • sSollitt1 Sam Sollitt (@sSollitt1) reported

@Kallum_Of_York @TalkTalk @YorkDigitalCity Genuinely some of the worst customer service you’ll deal with… but the internet speeds and ££ made it just about worth it for me… took about 3 months to sort mine e2e so was very close to going elsewhere…

  • rhmn30s Saleh Rahman (@rhmn30s) reported

@TalkTalk I wanted to talk to someone to resolve this issue quickly, you were unable to make that happen, probably cutting costs or whatever.. well done. You’ve saved money, and you’ve lost a customer.
