After months of correspondence and last couple of weeks contact by twitter feed, last week they escalated my case to their escalation team. Unsurprisingly no communication/resolution as yet! They are saying they might be able to ‘unbar our services’ if we pay. Considering that you have never given us the service which we paid you for, consistently, for over four years, it is rather ironic. You sent four engineers - two of which gave completely conflicting advice which cost us money - and our account was for fibre broadband. There is NO fibre broadband where we live. Should we send you a bill for four years of payments for non-service? I believe our bill will be considerably larger. Address this problem correctly. Apologise for utterly appalling customer service and call off your spurious claims. You owe your customers for false promises and no service.

They've confirmed that the fault is with open talk, but no one has been out yet. He's been left with no internet for almost a week in a countryside village!

The 2017 Equifax era of breaches, TalkTalk, Heartland Payment Systems: hundreds of millions of records, much of it through injection flaws. It has sat at the top of the OWASP vulnerability lists for two decades. The fixes are well known. For SQLi: parameterized queries, which keep user input permanently separated from database commands. For XSS: input validation and output encoding, so anything a user submits gets treated as text, never as runnable code. Never trust user input. Sanitize and validate everything, every time.
