@virginmedia Still not working, still no contact from #virginmedia. If still no contact tomorrow, will have to change supplier in time for Christmas. Can you help?

  • Bobby_Dazzler68
Darren Carson (@Bobby_Dazzler68) reported from Corby, England

@virginmedia I understand that but in the meantime I'm paying top whack for a sub standard service effecting BB and t.v. with no resolution date, not really good service

  • juanfelipe1
John Wright (@juanfelipe1) reported from Leicestershire, England

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm having the same issue. For the period of lockdown I could broadly rely on the signal to my home office. The last 2/3 months I haven't and I am constantly having to tether my mobile at my expense. The router hasn't moved and neither has my office. The service has just worsened

  • SteveRiches4
Safetypenfold (@SteveRiches4) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia router not working, of course not your equipment has to be mine. Why have to wait 48 hours to phone again if still not working. It’s arrogant to think we know nothing about IT.

  • Pogit
Richard Adams (@Pogit) reported from Chadwell, England

@virginmedia @VMO2News please with pay for someone capable to fix your custom super hub firmware or get rid of it! Hub5 won’t release IP addressed and your middle ware completely messes up Wi-Fi naming and password changes (even the first use one which isn’t even a change)

  • ddrbowella
David Richards (@ddrbowella) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia The service keep cutting out. And having to reboot 3/4 times a week. If no one comes and fix the fault. I will cancel everything and go to the ombudsman to claim back all the money paid for a fully working service.

  • GRODSTER
Hayley Garrod (@GRODSTER) reported from Leicestershire, England

@stonecoldpiper @KillingEve @IamSandraOh @BBCAMERICA I was about to as well but my Virgin Media keeps playing up & I couldn't bear for it to keep stopping 😣 Now I'm watching Beat The Chasers and will try again later but I need my fix asap!! 😂

  • juanfelipe1
John Wright (@juanfelipe1) reported from Leicestershire, England

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm looking at the new Sky Stream service that starts on 18th October combined with Three 5G broadband. Both offer rolling 1 month contracts

  • AdyGoodrich
ѕαιѕσηѕ ιη тнє αвуѕѕ (@AdyGoodrich) reported from Leicestershire, England

@om_riff @RICHEYHELL We have **** all 4g coverage here too unless you stand in the front bedroom with your arm out the window. Our virgin media is either on & working well or down for half a day while they 'upgrade the network' 🤔

  • SteveRiches4
Safetypenfold (@SteveRiches4) reported from Leicestershire, England

@aliceb2998 @virginmedia Broadband down again, new router, now changing IP addresses every few minutes DHCP server unstable, many devices not connecting, no internet, WiFi unpredictable...

  • Wee_Linz_
👸🏻 Queen Wee Linz 👸🏻 (@Wee_Linz_) reported from Corby, England

@virginmedia Hi, as a family, all 4 of us are having problems with the mobile network. This has been ongoing for a few weeks and despite assurances that the problem is being fixed, it clearly isn't. This is frustrating and we are not getting the service we're paying for.

  • Deepal29
Deepal Vyas (@Deepal29) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia @virginmedia we have another date for installation for tomorrow I went via the app and had your customer service team calling as the offer wouldn’t go through. Fingers crossed we getting tomorrow or it will be another day off wasted.

  • Bobby_Dazzler68
Darren Carson (@Bobby_Dazzler68) reported from Corby, England

@virginmedia Yes, need a pod, also have t.v and home phone, TV service has lots of you tube, Netflix, sky movie drop outs

  • adamkemp24

  • Dog_in_a_hat
Wayne™ (@Dog_in_a_hat) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia Not the only thing slow is it!

  • juanfelipe1
John Wright (@juanfelipe1) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia Or you could invite your customers to get in touch when out of contract or you could even tell us what deals are on offer to help us stay. I suspect you don't because you realise that inertia effects are high when it comes to changing broadband packages.

  • DenhamKite
Denham Kite (@DenhamKite) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia - what number do I call to talk to a real person to sort this rubbish before I cancel?

  • Dog_in_a_hat
Wayne™ (@Dog_in_a_hat) reported from Leicestershire, England

@Doddstar79 @virginmedia Their service seems to be particularly bad in recent weeks...

    (Re)Search & Destroy (@TruthAsylum121) reported

THREAD 9 — COMMUNITY CALLING AND THE MONEY BEHIND THE DEVICES The Community Calling programme gives us another important part of the story. Virgin Media O2 and Hubbub have worked together to collect and redistribute unwanted smartphones. Migrant Help has been one of the organisations receiving devices for asylum seekers and refugees. Then there is the Tech Lending Community Fund. The first phase was worth £400,000 and supported charity partners to establish tablet-lending hubs. The projects included organisations such as Thames Reach, the Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women’s Organisation, Willowacre Trust, Refuge and Leeds Refugee Forum, with tablets and O2 data being made available through the programme. In Swansea, around 700 donated phones were distributed through a Community Calling project, with O2 providing 12 months of free data, calls and texts. Swansea Asylum Seekers Support made 127 referrals to the scheme in 2021. Its records also show £8,175 spent on phone top-ups, covering 1,160 £10 top-ups. There was another £2,400 provided by Hay Brecon Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees. The funding came through organisations including the Moondance Foundation, Comic Relief/SCVS Emergency Fund and Welsh Government/SCVS Integration Care Fund. This is where the investigation starts moving beyond technology companies. There is philanthropic money. There is council money. There is Government money. There is corporate money. And there are charities distributing the resulting technology.

@virginmedia can you please advise why I have not had my complaint resolved within the 28 days? It has now been over a week since it should have been resolved. You advised that I would receive a call back this week and I haven’t. The way this has been handled is unacceptable.
