@virginmedia No. I’m done with text, on line and anything except talking to someone. You’ve had the opportunity using the bot, Twitter and online support, now we need to communicate in person. #realpeople

  • Dr_Stav
Dr Alex Stavrinides (@Dr_Stav) reported from West Bridgford, England

Customer Services via @WhatsApp is just appalling. Looking at you @virginmedia. Feels like I've wasted hours trying to sort out a contract, one bot message at a time.

  • mjtriggs
Matt Triggs (@mjtriggs) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia My broadband hub has no power at all, and it seems the solution is an engineer in the middle of next week. How am I meant to work until then? Can’t you just post me a new hub?

  • MatthewWalne
Matthew Walne MCSI (@MatthewWalne) reported from Mountsorrel, England

@virginmedia No, it’s very random. I was expecting an improvement when I upgraded speeds but it never did.

  • ChrisMaltby
Chris Maltby (@ChrisMaltby) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia The reboot only works until it goes down again so it doesn’t really ‘work’. Anyway, I spent 40 minutes on the phone yesterday and they’re sending me a new router, hopefully that will sort the problem out. Cheers

  • jonathansc
Jonathan SC ن Esq. (@jonathansc) reported from Wilford, England

@virginmedia Again we have no broadband and just a vague it will be fixed by 22:00 #Wilford. Why do you not supply incident reference to your customers ?

  • NickFitz
Nick Fitzsimons (@NickFitz) reported from Leicestershire, England

@PreetBharara @ZellaQuixote Around 2009 or 2010. I had a computer with a modem that could send faxes that was just about working, and I had to get @virginmedia to send an engineer out to fix my landline. The landline broke again a month or two later and hasn’t worked since, though they still bill me for it.

  • ddrbowella

  • Dog_in_a_hat
Wayne™ (@Dog_in_a_hat) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia So let’s think about this, I have a hub, it’s in one room, I have numerous appliances which run of Wifi, which are portable ie can be used everywhere, but you feel I should only use wired device! Not really selling your service well are you!

  • ChrisLonelyguy
Christopher Hallick (@ChrisLonelyguy) reported from Leicestershire, England

Come on @virginmedia I'm again being plagued by #fake #scam #fraud calls on landline. I'm not registered anywhere and on blocked lists. There's auto diallers i believe but operators should be cracking down on this.

  • DazCarson68
Darren Carson (@DazCarson68) reported from Chadwell, England

@virginmedia hi, could you advise the best method to speak to someone regards a request for return of kit after house move? Chat bot does not help, need to contact an agent thanks

  • juanfelipe1
John Wright (@juanfelipe1) reported from Leicestershire, England

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm having the same issue. For the period of lockdown I could broadly rely on the signal to my home office. The last 2/3 months I haven't and I am constantly having to tether my mobile at my expense. The router hasn't moved and neither has my office. The service has just worsened

  • NoGuyTest786

.@virginmedia how are we supposed to get help/customer service? Phonelines are unanswered, the online chat goes around in circles and then stops communicating, the Whatsapp service doesn't work. Woeful today.

  • BettererBack
Nick. I’m just this guy, y’know? (@BettererBack) reported

    @jayemdee63 Virgin media. Awful.

  • shardon1980
    Shardon (@shardon1980) reported

@virginmedia Issue still not fixed . your compensation is £10.34 a day . What about subscription services like Netflix etc . I’ve had to use data from my phone to work, this is unacceptable in an age where everything is WiFi. Also no contact from your team. This is a major issue in the area

  • fredbeare
    Davie G 🇬🇧 (@fredbeare) reported

Do @EE have any actual humans, other than those on commission in sales, working for them? Almost as bad as Virgin Media, certainly worse than @BT who seemed to have taken the worst from both companies and merged. Are there no good comms companies out there?

  • CorkinDawn
    dawnieC (@CorkinDawn) reported

@virginmedia I already said i did status check which is estimating 5.08pm fix. My point was text says should be fixed shortly. I dont consider 9hours being shortly. Why does this happen more often now? You are no longer reliable any more 🙁

  • Amrit_Phull
    Amrit Phull (@Amrit_Phull) reported

@virginmedia I have now received three seperate text messages saying the problem has been fixed, when it clearly hasn’t……..I’m still offline. Not only is your service terrible, you add to that deceptive and wrongful communication to your customers. I expect compensation

  • 2cakesdakes
    twocakesdakes (@2cakesdakes) reported

@virginmedia Customer since you started. Trying to renew package and being told its £63 . Same package for new contracts is 30 ******* quid cheaper. That's £720 over a 2 year contract.

  • Vincent2455
    VB (@Vincent2455) reported

Received a text from @virginmedia asking me to return an unused device or they will charge me for something I did not request. Made the mistake of calling for address stickers for the return item. Big mistake!! No support! No idea. No stickers. How will this play out in court!!

Good afternoon everyone I’ll briefly share my POV on choosing a good proxy. Here are the 3 major things you must check before using any IP: 1. ISP (Internet Service Provider)
This is the most important factor.
Think of it like our local networks — Glo, Airtel, MTN, or 9mobile.
Always pick residential consumer ISPs (e.g., AT&T, Comcast for USA; Telstra/TPG for Australia; Virgin Media, BT, Vodafone for UK) instead of datacenter providers (DigitalOcean, AWS, Choopa, etc.).
Websites easily flag datacenter IPs, but residential ones look like normal users on home Wi-Fi or mobile data. 2. Fraud Score / IP Reputation
Before binding the proxy, test it with tools like Scamalytics, IPQS, or Pixelscan. • ✅ Low Fraud Score (0–10) = Clean & safe. • ❌ High Fraud Score (30+) = Avoid. It will trigger CAPTCHAs, bot detection, or shadowbans.
Also check it’s not blacklisted on major spam databases. 3. IP Range (First 3 Octets)
Not all ranges from the same ISP perform the same. Some subnets get abused over time.
Australia examples:
❌ Avoid: 1., 101., 110.
✅ Good: 124., 121., 120. (Telstra) | 80. (TPG)
UK examples:
✅ Good: 86., 80. (Virgin Media) | 82., 78. (BT) Pick the right ISP and you’ll rarely get flagged. This was the main issue a lot of people faced with services like Outlier and Handshake. What proxy challenges are you currently facing? Drop them below

By December 2025 @virginmedia ongoing service monitoring determined I needed a free hub to stabilise connection. Lost track of how often internet has gone down for few minutes or so then come back. However, in last month it has been out for hours 3 times. 2/?
