@virginmedia Yes, your phone operators speak poor English and you have closed your shops so I can no longer go in and physically hold a phone!

  • breadf2man
Fazal Rehman (@breadf2man) reported from Thurmaston, England

@virginmedia If 8 of your operators and an engineer cannot fix my Virgin Broadband I dont think the forum is going to do a lot unless they come to my house and repair it

  • michaeltruefitt
Michael Truefitt (@michaeltruefitt) reported from Chadwell, England

@virginmedia Are you planning on giving all your customers a discount for your constant broadband issues and not delivering what people are paying for? I see it was fixed earlier but it’s gone down once again in the last hour. It seems to be a daily occurrence now.

  • im_raj16
Meghraj (@im_raj16) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia Can you please send someone to fix the issue ? Please

  • MatthewWalne
Matthew Walne MCSI (@MatthewWalne) reported from Mountsorrel, England

@virginmedia Sorry, I don’t understand how posting on a forum will get me in contact with someone who can help me. The customer service isn’t good enough.

  • ddrbowella
David Richards (@ddrbowella) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia what is going on with your pitiful excuse for Internet connectivity in LE7. It hasn't been working since midnight, it distill doesn't work. Good job we're leaving you next month for a reliable supplier. #nointernetagain

  • TeresaBudworth
Teresa Budworth (@TeresaBudworth) reported from Quorn, England

52 minutes and two escalations for @virginmedia call centre to agree the diagnosis I’d already made. ‘Your “intelligent” booster pod is not working. A new one will be with you in 3-5 working days’ No wifi upstairs for a week is unacceptable

  • jonathansc
Jonathan SC ن Esq. (@jonathansc) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia Good to know you technicians are aware - less good not to know whether they are actually doing anything to fix this

  • lizdixon77
Liz (@lizdixon77) reported from Mountsorrel, England

@virginmedia Have done it both ways. It isn’t just the speed it is dropping out completely for long periods of time and the staff in your call centres are if no help unless you want to buy a new service and you do not get promised calls back.

  • paulwitneyphoto
paulwitneyphoto (@paulwitneyphoto) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia 1hr 50mins on the phone, mostly on hold, spoken to 4 people, 3 of which bairly spoke english and still no further forward, website not helpful either. Worst service I've ever experienced. @Ofcom

  • ddrbowella

  • Dog_in_a_hat
Wayne™ (@Dog_in_a_hat) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia So let’s think about this, I have a hub, it’s in one room, I have numerous appliances which run of Wifi, which are portable ie can be used everywhere, but you feel I should only use wired device! Not really selling your service well are you!

  • juanfelipe1
John Wright (@juanfelipe1) reported from Leicestershire, England

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm having the same issue. For the period of lockdown I could broadly rely on the signal to my home office. The last 2/3 months I haven't and I am constantly having to tether my mobile at my expense. The router hasn't moved and neither has my office. The service has just worsened

  • Dog_in_a_hat
Wayne™ (@Dog_in_a_hat) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia Why would I run a wired speed test when I have no wired appliances? I pay for a wifi service...

  • helen6253
helen (@helen6253) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia @BBCBreaking Is there a complete outage of Virgin Media email. All customers unable to get in? I have rung the call centre and have been given up to 48 hours for a fix!

  • NickFitz
Nick Fitzsimons (@NickFitz) reported from Leicestershire, England

@PreetBharara @ZellaQuixote Around 2009 or 2010. I had a computer with a modem that could send faxes that was just about working, and I had to get @virginmedia to send an engineer out to fix my landline. The landline broke again a month or two later and hasn’t worked since, though they still bill me for it.

  • MatthewWalne
Matthew Walne MCSI (@MatthewWalne) reported from Mountsorrel, England

@virginmedia The wifi in my house is awful despite having 500mb broadband with you

  • doffcapgov
doffcapgov (@doffcapgov) reported from Leicestershire, England

@sueperkins @virginmedia Glad you are publicizing their appalling customer comms whilst @virginmedia shamelessly provide a lousy service and increasing monthly subs by stealth

  • paulwitneyphoto
paulwitneyphoto (@paulwitneyphoto) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia You are clearly having a laugh at our expense. How do we complain about the service by @virginmedia @Ofcom

Virgin Media genuinely have to be one of the worst companies in existence. A no show on an engineer, three days in a row.

  • jonblackbsb
    Jonathan Black (@jonblackbsb) reported

I love on a street where it seems over 50% of households use @VMO2Life @virginmedia . That’s quite a lot of £££ per month paid out . But for the best part of a year everyone’s work has been disrupted by poor or no service . Apparently it’s noise emanating from a house 🏠 🤷1/2

  • iam_samedoho
    Sam Ed (@iam_samedoho) reported

@OgaHans MTN is one of the biggest network operators in Nigeria. EE, Virgin Media O2, Vodafone, and Three are the major network operators in the UK. EE coverage is very good because BT owns and operates it using its existing infrastructure. Most of the smaller network operators are resellers. They bulk-buy wholesale - network minutes, texts, and data at a heavily discounted rate from (like EE, VMO2, or VodafoneThree) and resell it to people. Their coverage isn't good because they are limited. They are only competitive on price, not on coverage.

  • pompeyrigs
    nick rigby (@pompeyrigs) reported

@virginmedia my broadband speed is running at a fraction of what I’m paying for. Please fix it. Makes working from home impossible

  • IFBMedia
    IFB Media (@IFBMedia) reported

This is the problem LOI TV and Virgin Media can’t solve on their own. Both have done more for this league in a few years than RTÉ managed in decades. Let that sit for a second. A streaming service and a commercial broadcaster have outworked the national broadcaster on its own game. RTÉ isn’t short on money. It’s short on will. Every household in this country funds that broadcaster through the licence fee. League of Ireland clubs are part of that country too. Yet the domestic game still gets treated like an inconvenience, squeezed out whenever something bigger comes along… That’s not neutrality. That’s a broadcaster showing you exactly where its priorities sit. And it ain’t with covering our Domestic Football teams irrespective of whether it’s home, abroad or both. Other platforms shouldn’t be doing RTÉ’s job for it. They shouldn’t have to. A national broadcaster shows up for the national game. Consistently. Not when it suits the schedule. Until RTÉ treats League of Ireland like it matters, everyone else will keep doing the job it was funded to do. That’s not a compliment to the others. It’s an indictment of RTÉ. This is exactly why Irish football needs a genuine TV deal, not scraps of coverage from whoever happens to show up. The prize money isn’t there. The funding model is fragile. A real broadcast deal is how you finally finance this league properly. Until that exists, moments like this keep repeating.

@virginmedia please change the on hold music for uk callers, it's so awful I had to end my 30 min call before resolution. The long call and language barrier are bad enough, that crap jazz hold music is just too much.

  • iamstephewer
    miss ewer (@iamstephewer) reported

@virginmedia what is going on? Every time you tell me the problem is fixed, an hour later I’m disconnected from my WiFi again! I have never had so many issues with a broadband before! I am using almost all of my mobile data these past few days!
