  • NickFitz
Nick Fitzsimons (@NickFitz) reported from Leicestershire, England

@PreetBharara @ZellaQuixote Around 2009 or 2010. I had a computer with a modem that could send faxes that was just about working, and I had to get @virginmedia to send an engineer out to fix my landline. The landline broke again a month or two later and hasn’t worked since, though they still bill me for it.

  • NoGuyTest786
NoGuyTest (@NoGuyTest786) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia Just spent 30 minutes on this text bot and it's very frustrating, they have only just taken my details from me after 30 minutes and can only communicate by sms which is useless, I'd rather wait on a phone line, shocking service, also the English is bad

  • bgspixpaul
Paul Witney (@bgspixpaul) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia we want to cancel our tv and broadband but can't get to speak to anybody and can't do it on the internet and you've closed all you shops. You are making it impossible for us to leave!

  • _Noumaan_
Noumaan Abubakar (@_Noumaan_) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia Is it possible to speak to someone over the phone as at the moment I'm not confident with the move being a smooth one. I'm promised call backs which never happen etc

  • paulwitneyphoto
paulwitneyphoto (@paulwitneyphoto) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia Yes, your phone operators speak poor English and you have closed your shops so I can no longer go in and physically hold a phone!

  • worksopchap

@virginmedia I can’t find the last message where this thread started - I’ll go to the bot system - I’m a returning customer - need to reactivate my account etc

  • NimeshDave7
Nimfresh.exe (@NimeshDave7) reported from Leicestershire, England

@virginmedia @vmbusiness why does my RTC internet connection disconnect every hour and connect 10 seconds later? It’s been happening for weeks, every hour it will go down for 10 seconds then reconnect??!?!? It’s problematic for my work!

  • paulwitneyphoto
paulwitneyphoto (@paulwitneyphoto) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia No, I don't want to do things by text, I want you to ring us, (an English speaking person not a call centre in Delhi) I am a paying dissatisfied customer!🤬

Help @virginmedia - you tell me to upgrade online but It says I can't! Half of your help pages go to an error page and sorry the rest of us are running customer care services during COVID! I want to self serve but can't and you expect me to stay on the phone for an hour!

  • TeresaBudworth
Teresa Budworth (@TeresaBudworth) reported from Quorn, England

52 minutes and two escalations for @virginmedia call centre to agree the diagnosis I’d already made. ‘Your “intelligent” booster pod is not working. A new one will be with you in 3-5 working days’ No wifi upstairs for a week is unacceptable

@virginmedia Come on guys. Can you at least let me watch the MotoGP on BT sport 2? I’m pretty sure I have the rights to watch it since I watched it yesterday no problem

@virginmedia The hilarious part... your complaints team sends me an email saying we agreed a resolution and closed it. We have abso-*******-lutely not agreed a resolution. I haven't even been able to speak to anyone yet and nobody has replied to response. @Ofcom

  • BEAMSEDU
    BEAMS Consultants UK (@BEAMSEDU) reported

@virginmedia Is there any technical breakdown on BH6 area where no Sky transmission? Or is this an isolated one incident linked to one property? We have no transmission since mid day today, 07/07

    Andy W (@AndrewW12290183) reported

@virginmedia While 6 weeks ago I was struggling to cancel my VM contract for charging me for a TV package I never signed up for. VM was negotiating with @Ofcom a reduced fine for making it difficult to move to another supplier. VM palmed off my complaints so class action it is

  • BelfastBooks
    Belfast Books (@BelfastBooks) reported

@TrevorM63275988 Having dealt with Virgin Media on behalf of clients for more than 20 years, I can say their customer service has changed dramatically. They now appear to rely heavily on contact deflection, a practice where customers are repeatedly directed towards web chat, FAQs and automated systems instead of being able to speak to a human adviser. While contact deflection is intended to reduce support costs, my experience is that it has reached the point where accessing a person has become unnecessarily difficult. I'll I'll be raising it with Ofcom under the complaint they have against them.

  • DevilHatman
    Hatz (@DevilHatman) reported

@virginmedia The formal complaint is already submitted. I'm not going back and forth on X too.

  • GroupthinkBlogs
    Groupthink Blogs (@GroupthinkBlogs) reported

@simonlevans @virginmedia They even admitted they did so. I remember trying to cancel my mum's contract 10 years ago, took me 2 hours. Most people would have given up.

  • ukimag

  • HarrachtainO

The absolute consensus among Irish mainstream media on every single issue is remarkable. Across RTE, the Irish Times, The Journal, The (hilariously misnamed) Independent, Virgin Media etc. there’s no diversity of thought, no discord, no dissent on any matter. How is this possible

@youfibre Your updated privacy terms catches the eye: "When we may share information with trusted service providers and partners;" If I start getting spam from youfibre 'partners' = bye bye & that is on top of virgin media buying you (many of us are refugees from virginmedia)
