Virgin Media Issues Reports Near East Sussex, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in East Sussex and nearby locations:

  • maddie_dunn Maddie Dunn (@maddie_dunn) reported from Hastings, England

1/3 I’ve never come across such appalling ‘customer service’ & disregard for its customers than that of @virginmedia currently trying to help my 78 & 92 year old parents navigate a series of dead end automated lines rerouted to generic links that don’t cover the issue

  • BraisbyI Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England

@timfprice @annembee @virginmedia I have a similar problem with TalkTalk, I have had no broadband or landlines since 17th Feb, they disconnected me because I was upgrading to their fibre to the house, except that got delayed but they still disconnected my normal service. Their web chat service is a joke

  • maddie_dunn Maddie Dunn (@maddie_dunn) reported from Hastings, England

3/3 @virginmedia just imagine being 80-90 years old and patronised by a text message ‘chat’ service which goes round and round in circles all to just try and stay ‘connected’ 🤯 #virginmedia #virginmobile

  • maddie_dunn Maddie Dunn (@maddie_dunn) reported from Hastings, England

2/3 @virginmedia I have now requested to speak to a human on numerous occasions since Monday to no avail. I have no issue with waiting and being allocated a time to resolve this due to the current situation but the lack of care for customers of 20 years + sums up the robot era!

  • DickBroady **** Broady (@DickBroady) reported from Willingdon, England

@Matthew_Wright @virginmedia I’ve used BT for some considerable time. Never had a problem would recommend

  • NajinderMahal Najinder Mahal (@NajinderMahal) reported

@virginmedia Yes I have But having 48 hours without a connection due to your mistake is not acceptable. Especially in these difficult times where we have had to work from home. You should have gone the extra mile to sort this out, as it was no fault of mine, and being a loyal customer

  • RetroGamer_Daz Darran Jones (@RetroGamer_Daz) reported

@Stupacabra @virginmedia Yup it’s pretty poor. It’s obviously an accident but why care about that when you can take £80 off a pensioner.

  • IncompHeroes Incompetent Heroes (@IncompHeroes) reported

Big thanks to everyone who came to the stream and suffered through my terrible internet. I'm going to have to contact @virginmedia tomorrow, and if they think that just resetting the router will fix it THIS time, I may go insane.

  • RetroGamer_Daz Darran Jones (@RetroGamer_Daz) reported

My 77-year-old mother has run up an £80 phone bill by accident because she didn’t realise she was using data. Told @virginmedia that it was an accident (her last three bills have cost nothing) and they simply don’t care because she wasn’t logged as a vulnerable customer. Classy.

  • Gesh_Mo Gesh (@Gesh_Mo) reported

@virginmedia 21 minutes on a call with customer service and then cut off. Seems to happen often. Wifi is not working again. It rarely works.

  • jayjay496 Jason O (@jayjay496) reported

Hey @YodelOnline any chance I can get a number to speak to a person instead of live chat where i get lied to when my parcel arrives. Youve had my router and @virginmedia box since Saturday and still not delivered. This means I can’t do my job! @virginmedia can u help escalate?

  • EpikFaxs epik faxs (@EpikFaxs) reported

@virginmedia nah wtf it wasn't working until a bit past 2 and now it's not working again

  • LukeTurner421 Luke_Turner.42 (@LukeTurner421) reported

@virginmedia @meetinthewired i’m having the same issue please fix it

  • lisasli66 Lisa 💙 (@lisasli66) reported

@leonagraham @AutyWarriorMum @virginmedia I lost about 2 weeks of work time a couple of years back and over 30 hours overtime 2 weekends and never got anything back from them! It was so frustrating so know what your dealing with sadly

  • Ghost_In_Exile Kara Jane Adams (@Ghost_In_Exile) reported

@RetroGamer_Daz @virginmedia Every business has a duty of care to protect vulnerable customers, whether they are logged as such or not. Otherwise they are no better than those who would seek to scam the elderly. @virginmedia you call this customer service?
