Jacques (@FutJacques) reported from Norwich, England

Virgin media are awful. Wi-Fi should’ve been installed on 19th of August, and the full installation has been pushed back to past November despite still paying for the Wi-Fi. Shocking.

  • DrS_Reynolds
Shirley Reynolds #FBPE (@DrS_Reynolds) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Honestly I was on a web chat for over 3 hours yesterday and two hours this morning and got nowhere so I’m a bit jaded. But if you can help yes pmease

  • LaGodden
Frances Godden (@LaGodden) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia It was. I called Sunday 1040, promised Paul would call me before 1320; he did not. That was nearly a week ago and I’ve had no contact, despite three follow-ups by me via phone, online complaint form submission x2 and this. Seriously unimpressed.

  • Tall2D
Mark Standbrook (@Tall2D) reported from Norwich, England

Three years with @virginmedia involved runaway price hikes, terrible customer service and promises of higher speeds that never materialised.

  • DrS_Reynolds
Shirley Reynolds #FBPE (@DrS_Reynolds) reported from Norwich, England

@Just_Ranting2 @virginmedia @Virgin We’d just like someone who can solve problems to pick up the phone instead of passing on to another person who can’t or won’t help. I’m currently texting someone who must be on Mars judging by the speed of response

  • claretbubbles
⚒ Sarah ⚒ Mrs Bubbles ⚒ (@claretbubbles) reported from Norwich, England

  • womaninblack
stacia briggs (@womaninblack) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia TV down in NR4 and the suggested reconnection date is December 29. Seems a long time? I’m aware no time is a good time for this to happen but Boxing Day is a REALLY bad time. Will this reflect in my (vast) bill?

  • jacko_1989
James Jackaman (@jacko_1989) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia yet again shocking customer service over the phone, asked to speak to a manager and the agent hung up on me. On the phone again and whoops, your agent keeps forgetting to put me on hold whilst he speaks to a manager and I can hear everything. This call is embarrassing

  • juliettealicex

  • AndyWoodturner
Andy Coates (@AndyWoodturner) reported from Mutford, England

Just hearing that in a drive to retain accounts, VirginMedia has gone down on all their customers. It's a novel approach, and to be fair, more than BT ever did...and because Dave, in customer retention, had "cunning linguist" on his CV... #VirginMediaoutage

  • Spr1718
Sam Gravener (@Spr1718) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Media service. We had cancelled and got a call Tuesday offering us a better deal, to be activated today. Rang earlier and spent nearly 50 minutes on the phone with a great woman who went through our new package which for some reason hadn’t been auctioned.

  • sockformation
Tim (@sockformation) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia I’m trying to install my broadband, but don’t have the right socket at home. I was told I wouldn’t need an engineer which is why I booked it in now. Also, my password isn’t working so I can’t do anything. Please help because at the moment I’ll be paying for nothing

  • aldemirdown
Ceyda Aldemir-Down (@aldemirdown) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia I still have not talked to anyone to get help. I was sent a text last morning at 7 asking if I still need help which I saw last night 🤪

  • Spr1718
Sam Gravener (@Spr1718) reported from Norwich, England

@BenJaneDavies @virginmedia Well this is the thing!! We had cancelled because we weren’t happy they couldn’t match the new customer offers for us. Retentions rang and beat the offer instead. Said would all be up today but have had issue after issue! They’re so incompetent

  • OJayHealth
𝕆𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕖 𝕁 𝕄𝕒𝕥𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕨𝕤 #KBF (@OJayHealth) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia how do I cancel #MUTV from my package? Added it on without ringing up so trying to see how to cancel it without ringing.

  • jamie_obrien

@virginmedia what a crafty way of getting money. Charging £240 to disconnect as moving to property that you can't supply service to

@BobbyMan747 @Virgin Personally i was thinking of making the switch to Virgin Media, but the last couple of weeks i have been hearing a lot of this. I thought they had sorted out their issues, but it appears they haven't.

  • JagsArthurson
    Jags Arthurson (@JagsArthurson) reported

When @virginmedia tells you to update your Tivo Box to the latest version, DON'T DO IT! It is truly RUBBISH There is not one single thing about it that is not WORSE than the previous version. So bad that I will be leaving Virgin as soon as I can

  • clm2071
    Septimus McClonk (@clm2071) reported

Absolutely appalling service from @virginmedia - haven't sent me the equipment you promised, the equipment you have sent is broken on arrival. And over half an hour waiting on chat and call to speak to someone. Absolute joke

  • Minutemarketio
    Minute Market (@Minutemarketio) reported

Virgin Media Gets Fined 🫰 Virgin Media was hit with a £28 million, or roughly $37 million, fine by UK regulator Ofcom for repeatedly making it harder for customers to cancel contracts between 2022 and 2024. That is not just a consumer-rights story. It is a warning for telecom and subscription businesses that “retention tricks” can become regulatory liabilities. In a market obsessed with recurring revenue, cancellation friction is now a legal risk.

  • nubnutts
    Matthew Lock (@nubnutts) reported

@Stsantek @virginmedia damn i feel bad for you, i mean i pay £40 for gigabit on VM

  • DoctorDisco63
    Owen Luckhurst (@DoctorDisco63) reported

@MartinSLewis @MartinSLewis hearing about Virgin Media today I’m not surprised. They did the same to me around 2020, except they lied to me about my cancellation date. By the time I called to cancel, they said it was too late. So I disconnected everything and didn’t pay them a penny more.

  • Frugal_ways
    Deano... (@Frugal_ways) reported

@benjaminlfc @O2 @virginmedia It's always the private browser software they fail on. Always states, "Access denied to this page" yet the options button asks me if, "I want to log out?" Funny that...

  • StiffNips2
    Simone-Lee Deal (@StiffNips2) reported

@ChrisCorney1 Had that with my 91 yr old mum, she was charged 2x the going rate by Virgin, had dementia and obvs couldn't remember what her password was, so Virgin wouldn't let her cancel. I got there in the end, but @virginmedia are bastards
