@virginmedia Just rang and it did say there's an issue but it's been a few days now and my husband works from home which is causing a bit of stress. Hopefully it'll get sorted ASAP.

  • jacko_1989

@virginmedia yet again shocking customer service over the phone, asked to speak to a manager and the agent hung up on me. On the phone again and whoops, your agent keeps forgetting to put me on hold whilst he speaks to a manager and I can hear everything. This call is embarrassing

  • LaGodden
Frances Godden (@LaGodden) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia I’m a new customer. You agreed on 08/08 to add tv to phone/bb package for advertised rate of £33pcm. Bill arrived, charged £39pcm plus £84.95 unitemised additional charges, at no point did yr rep advise me of this. Tried calling yesterday, put on hold for nearly 2hrs...

  • thejpwphotos
Jon P Watson Photography (@thejpwphotos) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Your auto comp service is ridiculous. And besides, it's not just about the fact it's a paid service - it's the fact no service for several days. This doesn't need an engineer, I just need a box. You have a base just up the road from me, maybe I should go knock on their door.

  • buntyhoven
Hannah O'Hanrahahanrahan (@buntyhoven) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia It's no problem really - we have the TV remote for the volume so it's OK. Is there no way of programming the remote or is it just that it's faulty?

  • juliettealicex
Juliette (@juliettealicex) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Yeah tried that, says it should be working but the router is still not working

  • LaGodden
Frances Godden (@LaGodden) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia It was. I called Sunday 1040, promised Paul would call me before 1320; he did not. That was nearly a week ago and I’ve had no contact, despite three follow-ups by me via phone, online complaint form submission x2 and this. Seriously unimpressed.

  • Tall2D
Mark Standbrook (@Tall2D) reported from Norwich, England

Three years with @virginmedia involved runaway price hikes, terrible customer service and promises of higher speeds that never materialised.

  • AndyWoodturner
Andy Coates (@AndyWoodturner) reported from Mutford, England

Just hearing that in a drive to retain accounts, VirginMedia has gone down on all their customers. It's a novel approach, and to be fair, more than BT ever did...and because Dave, in customer retention, had "cunning linguist" on his CV... #VirginMediaoutage

  • LaGodden
Frances Godden (@LaGodden) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia I am at work!! I’ve already wasted hours trying to get you to fix this issue and even acknowledge my complaints. I can’t use webchat whilst at work!!

@virginmedia I've managed to sort it. Your customer service is appalling and because they're based in India, they lack any form of understanding or compassion and language barriers made the entite situation worse. Your UK based customer service team are flawless.

  • MDeLaBroc1
Michael De La Broc (@MDeLaBroc1) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia Last MARCH I went in store to enquire about a new, better priced broadband contract or to disconnect. I was going abroad for at the time, but wanted something better when I got back, I was sold on a new contract. Apparently my previous account should have been closed there and then. In September my service is cut off with no explanation, I do most of my work online so this is obviously bad, I got in contact, turns out my direct debit was still going to the supposedly cancelled account, not the current one, for the next three months I have a never ending series of chats on the phone or online chatbot to try and figure out what is going on. I can't log into virgin media online, because the credentials I used, take me to a placeholder screen, because the account is deleted or something, I don't know, no one can tell me. I go abroad in December, come back in January, same problem, the internet is disconnected for ''non payment'', all payments, are still, going to a an account that was supposed to be deleted or merged into my current one a year ago. every other month I am having to redo the same chat on their chatbot, followed by a customer complaints phonecall with some arrogant Indian who barely speaks English and doesn't understand what I am trying to tell him. And every month this goes on for, they are charging me a £7 late fee and even letter saying the price for the contract I am barely receiving service from is going up due to inflation. Truly is an absolute travesty this company, I am just going to cut the entire thing loose and go to StarLink the next time this happens, which I expect will be in two weeks going by the near monthly disconnects I am put through

  • Jackmeough7058
    Jackmeough1 (@Jackmeough7058) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia Left 08/23. Landline wasn't working for 12months+. Indian call centre kept promising engineers that never came. Online logs of issue were cancelled automatically after 28 days 'You haven't been back in touch, assume issue is resolved'. I was a customer over 20yrs. ******* useless

@IamCarrieagain @virginmedia .@virginmedia truly shame on you, do you realise how difficult it is for disabled people to be without the internet, unbelievably bad practice, and after the difficult time you also gave to my elderly Mum I’m glad not to be a customer too, if this is the way you provide a service.

  • LouiseMensch
    Louise Bagshawe (@LouiseMensch) reported

Wow. Shockingly bad by @virginmedia. Lying to @BenLeo that he needed a new contract in order to get equipment repaired, misselling him the contract with a box that didn’t work (admitted by them) and then telling him he wasn’t allowed to go back to his old contract.

  • ConorSwifty
    Conor Swifty (@ConorSwifty) reported

@virginmedia hello Virgin Media had a dodgy phone call from +442045148789 saying it's Virgin/O2 trying to end contracts early for upgrading & wanted details while the lady spoke poor English & kept saying eh 24/7.

  • blueboy2710

@mark_wootten Try Virgin Media, just as bad if not worse

  • Donatedparts
Steve Austin (Not the real one) 🇬🇧 (@Donatedparts) reported

@Benleo @marktenjag @virginmedia File an official complaint stating you were misled & want the contract cancelled without penalty. You can use a Consumer Rights Template from Citizens Advice. Escalate to a Communications Ombudsman if the company rejects your claim or fails to resolve it within 8 weeks.

  • GregoryRasputin
    Ivan Elmanov (@GregoryRasputin) reported

@virginmedia I don’t have a problem returning it, I have a problem with your company threatening to charge me because I didn’t send the router back straight away, maybe give people more than two weeks to send it back before harassing them.

  • MKE4612
    Mick (@MKE4612) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia Make sure you announce which show you'll be showing this on, I would be very interested to watch. There are so many horror stories of people who are vulnerable and getting scammed by these mainstream companies like Virgin. **** them up Ben.
