@ZoeJardiniere @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Every mobile provider in the UK seems to be awful. Had a 50% off deal with Lebara but payment didn't go through one month due to a bank error not mine, so they cancelled it. Ordered an Asda mobile sim with £10 credit - it arrived after a month and with no credit (still not sorted

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same here except the husband remaining, who had dementia,a pay as you go sim,& for who I had POA, was additionally sold a contract over the phone. Was incredibly difficult to resolve even though I was POA - they wanted to question him. We ended up with 2 contracts to try & cancel

@VodafoneUK This wasn’t much help either. Could you please give me a direct email address or get someone to call me from the business team?
-
Nick O'Donnell (@gnickodonnell) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I’ve never dealt with a phone company who wasn’t represented by people who clearly thought the company mission statement was “In all circumstances, imagine you’re Priti Patel and act accordingly”. (I hope my phone doesn’t get sent to Rwanda).

@GeorgeMonbiot @KathyBurke @VodafoneUK The Ombudsman may help you - they are helping me trying to get myMums credit balance back of £1000 as she is in a nursing home now - Eon just as useless !!

DebbieMullins (@DebbieMullins18) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @KathyBurke @VodafoneUK They all jump when you cancel a direct debit but still can’t manage to sort things out !!
-
Phil (@philipjdcoleman) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The trouble is all these companies pass you to a retentions department of you wish to cancel anything these days. These departments are targeted & receive bonuses for keeping the account open. It’s classed as a sale which encourages this type of behaviour. It’s immoral & wrong.

Zelle Bee (@zelle_baggaley) reported
@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot You've been ripped to shreds for this response - let me tell you how to do better. You DM him, ask for his phone number, then -you- call him and act as point of contact until resolved. The path to effective resolution has to be easy or it makes your company look disingenuous.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone used to be at respectable end of the spectrum However in the last 10 years, they've gone downhill rapidly. Even business customers paying them £££ get abysmal service. My favourite is the Voda phone line that tells you to use chat, and the chat that tells you to phone.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Commiserations George. This is common with nearly all the major corporations. It’s almost impossible to speak to someone and they begin with a refusal to believe what you’re saying. If Labour have left ideology behind, they could win by prioritising customer protection issues.
