@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Had to contact all the agencies after a relative died before lockdown, all very helpful and had deets to deal with it. Some customer services were also very sympathetic and truly sorry for loss. Surprised me that it wasn't more unemotional call handlers.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone are awful. My husband wanted to cancel his contract, at the end of it not mid way through, and was met with the same hostility. He had to threaten them with going to Trading Standards and WhatchDog. They quickly cancelled his contract after that. He has no health issues.

@radioheadjen @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Going into their store in Bournemouth just as bad. They inquired why I was there, then insisted other customers get served before me because my issue would take longer than ten minutes. I was waiting over an hour to be served.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This sorry tale echoes my experience administering my mothers estate. For me it was an internet company (though there were others similarly obstructive). I raised a complaint about an individual who didnt even offer condolences & was assured their behaviour would be addressed.

@GeorgeMonbiot @AmandaPCraig @VodafoneUK This is just so awful. There are people out there in your Dad’s situation that probably don’t have anyone to help them with these things. Customer service is no longer even a thing, just an impenetrable call centre wall of defence and attack
