    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I'm sorry for your loss! They're the exact same in IRL. Thankfully, I was just changing service, took months! Lost my number, then get debt collection on to me for hundreds of €!! I had screenshots and recordings of confirmed cancellation so the agency dropped everything.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK the lesson here is don't bother having contracts, the monthly pay as you deals are just as good if not better nowadays and you can dump them and move on if there's any hassle. The whole contract system benefits them not the customer.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This organisation has been like this for years - when my Dad died suddenly they said we had to pay extra to cancel the account because we hadn’t given them the required notice! Morally bankrupt tax avoiding shambles!

    @bmac1906 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Why would you contact a bereavement team about someone that's still alive? And even if you were acting for a deceased relative the customer services department of a half decent company ought to be able to transfer to such a team themselves

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We had an issue with Sky. My mum had insurance policy on her very old sky box. My wife going through her affairs cancelled the insurance. Sky then reinstated the direct debit. We phoned, we must speak to mrs h, that’s odd you reinstated the direct debit without her. They talked

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I'm savvy and persistent enough to think I can sort most problems with incompetent phone and energy companies but I agree that it is vain to think that any one person can stand out against deliberate corporate fraud.
