Then we had to ask for upgrade and the call connected immediately. You can join anytime, but you can never leave.

Alastair Jamieson (@alastairjam) reported@galliccelt @VodafoneUK Why would they bother? It's an oligopoly. The fact I'm still a customer despite this sort of treatment tells its own story. Their other trick is demanding advance payment if you have a higher-than-usual bill, and blocking the account until you pay. Not great when working overseas
