@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK My partners father passed away in March and had the same problem. We’ve asked to cancel the account he’s continuing to receive letters asking for further money and no confirmation of closure. The ridiculous excuse was they can’t close the account due to a ‘glitch’

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Had a difficult time trying to cancel my fathers virgin tv and phone contract after he died. Not a single word of condolence. Female insisted she speak to him as he had to cancel contract. Told her to do so but she would need Ouija board. Took weeks. Very distressing.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK …we got connected to hyperoptic at a faster speed, for less, had a service person come out and fix an issue we didn’t even know we had at no cost. I told them very indignantly I refused to pay the breach of contract fee. They haven’t followed it up, and we haven’t been…

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK My wife had a similar problem trying to cancel a contract with them a few years ago. She was very much alive at the time, which I think the store manager realised as she almost dragged him over the counter by his collar. This was around the 10th time she'd "cancelled", it worked.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Fk your DM. Your company needs to have a policy where bereaved relatives can cancel the contract - I mean which kind of company would want to insist that someone deceased continues to be a customer? It’s insane. What a **** show from your company

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I have a problem with my account. they overcharge me and when i call they never do anything. I went to the Vodafone shop in Bristol where we live at they sorted he matter within 10 minutes . I get a rebate this month!! I always find that a face to face is much better than calls

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They were predatory and aggressive when my brother accidentally ran up a large roaming bill working abroad. It was before the EU effectively stopped all that. I determined back then that I'd never use them. I hope they change or someone answers for it because this is disgusting.
