@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We left them many years ago because of their shoddy customers service. @gordongkennedy spent hours arguing with them and no one had died. I can't imagine how awful that has been for your Dad and family.

Hi @vodafoneuk. I live in a rural area in Scotland & increasingly often I can't make or receive calls or texts on my phone when in my home area. If I try I get message "not registered on network". Have tried restarting phone etc, no effect. Am on contract with you. Suggestions?

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Just get a lawyer to write letter of complaint to CEO and then threaten them with court

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK There has been a collapse in customer service standards over recent years. COVID was a catalyst, but then companies realised customers were tolerating 1-2 hour waits, and that they could get away with "demand throttling" by understaffing call centres and then pocket the profits.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK So sorry you and your family (& many others) have had to deal with this. I often feel that dealing with these companies is bad enough for IT-literate ppl (who are alive) - let alone anyone else! I hope your experience at least sparks some change

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja God the tone of this message makes me want to hit something (one). Not the sort of tone that’s going to go down well with seriously passed off people.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot One simple phone call should have been enough but its obvious your corporate ethos dictates down the chain of command to extract every last penny from deceased accounts. I would suggest that customers never enter into contracts but have monthly PAYG accounts which simply debit cc

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK So sorry to hear what they've put you through, though you'd think they would be trained to recognise names who will fight back! I shall pass this on to all my friends and tell them never to go near Vodafone. If everyone else does the same, perhaps they'll learn some manners.

@VodafoneUK I'm not even talking about a complaint here, I'm just describing a billing error. And nobody that I can speak to is able or willing to address this clerical error. This has resulted in me being landed with debt collection letters.
