@redb100 @dafyddno2 @VodafoneUK I had to switch ISP. Was paying @VodafoneUK for up to 76mb & getting lower than 1mb at times. Paying full price for unusable service .As soon as I changed to @bt_uk my problems disappeared Dreadful company to deal with as well.

Sure you know this but, for the benefit of others, don't move to DMs or other comms in this situation when you have attention - it's just a way for them to screw you where others can't see

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Similar thing happened when my dad died, 25 years ago with gas company, after weeks of arguing we cancelled the DD, they acrewed non payment until it triggered bailiffs action, we gave them his new address.... That sorted the problem. Good luck.

@SheonaG @VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Sky sent my mother flowers for her lost internet connection, when it was a BT Openreach issue. Sky were very good. But I had a similar difficult situation trying to cancel my Virgin Media contract when I was moving house. It was hideous!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had exactly the same problem with Vodafone in Spain when my mum had a series of strokes and was incapable of anything. I tried to cancel her contract, jumped through all the hips they put up, kept a record of everything as I was fully prepared to go to court. 1/2

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK So sorry for your loss George. What atrocious treatment of your poor dad. The first thing they should have done was to move hell and high water to find your dads account and sort this out. And then they should compensate for the stess caused and a full written apology.
