It was resolved via phone with many check-ins throughout the afternoon by the excellent Vodafone team. Chat support has a time and place, but service interruptions aren't it.

After talking to over 26 advisors over the course of 6 months and none was willing to give me a loyalty discount on a new contract i was forced to leave and never looked back since. Avoid them at all cost.
