I think that old records can remain for up to six years, but that they can be removed earlier, at the discretion of the company concerned. I would persist with @VodafoneUK. They should help. Was not Vodafone but similar customer ‘services’. They became increasingly intimidating. I sent them his new address. 6 feet under St Pancras Cemetary.
