I think that old records can remain for up to six years, but that they can be removed earlier, at the discretion of the company concerned. I would persist with @VodafoneUK. They should help. Recently, they impose a service, for what ??? for additional 2,99€. And, as I paid the usual amount, immediately I loose internet, calls out/in, sms… why, if I paid the agreed amount? Is it fair? NO!!!

A week of "we'll get you connected" later and I'm being asked to return the phone because some idiot (not me!) cancelled my contract? This is absolutely abysmal.
