@sigmasports I’m doing my best guys, bear with me. I’m doing an online chat with AOL online support and have Ask Jeeves fired up in another browser.

  • chrisromerlee Chris Romer-Lee (@chrisromerlee) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail are you considering replying to this tweet? I’ve had another response from AOL ‘support’ team which is useless. Please DM today.

  • chrisromerlee Chris Romer-Lee (@chrisromerlee) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail A family member has received the most appalling customer service from #aol. Utterly shocking. All she wants to do is reset the password as she’s been locked out & the response was effectively, go away and set up another account. She has replied, but I’m not happy.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

Recurring @AOL password problem; keeps telling me “incorrect password” again; had same problem a month ago. When I input password it is accepted for a short while then same message appears again; infuriating! HELP!!!

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

Weird today on @AOL receiving all emails on iPhone but iPad still saying “wrong password”. Password same on both devices! Help!!!

  • dougmortonagain Doug (@dougmortonagain) reported from Ealing, England

The first PlayStation came out, and Macs transitioned to Power PC. AOL is launched. Amazon was founded. Microsoft announces it will no longer sell or support the MS-DOS operating system separately from Microsoft Windows

  • Tullocarm Tullocarm (@Tullocarm) reported from Lambeth, England

So frustrating @SkyHelpTeam. I'm cancelling my direct debit. Screw your 'service'. I'd rather bring back AOL dial-up 😤

  • lorrainemking Lorraine King (@lorrainemking) reported from Brentford, England

@NW6Rd You've just reminded me my contract is up with my absolutely appalling @SkyUK broadband. It's so slow it's like AOL dial-up

  • Mark_BeerArt Mark Newman (@Mark_BeerArt) reported from Epsom and Ewell District, England

@liampowersjr @NorthmanTrader @Tesla Fully agree by the way, Tesla is strange, but I think some of this isn't just cars but their battery technology....never understood it myself. Never understood AOL time Warner, even wrote a paper on it for my MBA and got the lowest mark out of all my papers.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

Still having intermittent trouble sending/receiving emails on my @AOL account. Updated password on AOL via Safari; it works. Does not work through my normal email channel either sending or receiving. Systems don’t seem to share info - help!

  • JosaKeyes Josa Keyes (@JosaKeyes) reported from Ealing, England

@Miss_Snuffy Self pity finds many friends online from the earliest days of community forums up to today's toxic social media. "Share your support" we used to say at AOL and people did and lots was valuable, but a deep streak of 'alternative truth' bedded down there too to solicit attention.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

@AOLSupportHelp Did send it but still having same problem!

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

@AOLSupportHelp Hi Guys, password prompt now so frequent; every time I open my AOL email account. Please ask your engineers to fix quickly. Thanks so much.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail @AOL @AOLSupportHelp having rectified the continual WRONG PASSWORD notice, today it’s back again but only on my iPhone 7+, not on my iPad which is working perfectly. HELP!

  • Alessandro_Babs LDN Scottie Pippen (@Alessandro_Babs) reported from Brentford, England

@KwakuMMNT 112 by default. Jagged Edge were broadcasting to us using 2001 AOL dial up. Horrible signal.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

Although I have re-installed @AOLSupportHelp on iPhone I am still receiving “wrong password” messages. Puzzling that all’s well on iPad & laptop! Help!!!

  • JL_BrentfordFC Jamie🐝 (@JL_BrentfordFC) reported from Hounslow, England

@garyblack00 @SawyerMerritt @WholeMarsBlog But Gary, you have said (a million times) that this is the worst deal since AOL. You are proclaiming it dead. You are part of what you are agreeing against here. Love ya bro but you need to chill too

  • TheTraders_Shop TheTradersShop.Tribeodyssey.eth ☠Prisoner1716☠ (@TheTraders_Shop) reported

OpenSea is just like AOL... but without instant messaging or email. ... ... wtf?

  • TheyCallMeMack_ kayy💛 (@TheyCallMeMack_) reported

Austin can tell when I’m on my mac because i send million ******* texts because that 6th grade AOL girl comes out of me and i can’t help it

  • 0xstark Josh Stark (@0xstark) reported

@jbrukh It's a bit like if in 1999 AOL was revealed to have been doing horrible things w/ user info, stealing CC numbers, etc., and gone bankrupt and been discredited. Was it a killer app and the face of the internet for many early consumers? Yes, but...

  • ReticulatedS Gaius Iulius Caesar 🅉 🇷🇺 🤝🇺🇸🇦🇲🇷🇸 🇰🇵 ☦️ (@ReticulatedS) reported

@PaulFor86 Yes, in interviews Behr and I think Rick Berman, as well, they said that they would participate in the then nascent AOL chatrooms and talk with fans. They noted that there was a LOT of love for Dukat there and on message boards about Trek at the time, and felt they had to fix it

  • MamaAmasai ⚜Ama (@MamaAmasai) reported

@thepairodocs @tizwog @EcoFashionByBG I had a 2 yr old, in college & it was definitely a thing we worried. We weren’t on smartphones. We barely had internet on green screen monitors. AOL chat rooms. Moms gathered to support one another. We didn’t care what color, religion or party we were. We cared about our babies.

  • jwag06 Science Also Said The World Was Flat (@jwag06) reported

@SouthwestAir It astounds me that you actually charge for "internet" for your flights.....I am A List Preferred so I don't have to pay....but the quality of what I get reminds me of AOL. Half the time it doesn't work..when it does it's unstable. When will it upgrade?

  • volvogirl974 Volvofax 🇬🇧🚜 (@volvogirl974) reported

@YardleyShooting @TalkTalk I'd had AOL internet for 13 years but TalkTalk took over, cut off my dial-up connection without notice and then refused to discuss it over the live chat (using library internet). Still charged the following month so I had to put in a complaint and warn Barclaycard to stop them.

  • CaponeTeaches steve capone (he or they) MA MS (@CaponeTeaches) reported

@AuthorEdenC I count on my writers’ groups for IRL contact, but I will truly miss the positive connections I’ve made on Twitter. Is this what Gen X felt like when aol shut down? Wait, you say it’s still going?

  • PeachSt8Writer Peach State Writer (@PeachSt8Writer) reported

I guess the bright side of this Twitter debacle is that the AOL/Time Warner merger is no longer the worst business deal in history
