@teleject @meyerweb It kinda does though... With MSN Explorer (yes that was a thing in 2001, competing with AOL) we enabled "toast notifications" and the name was because "the little thing popped like the toast on the screensavers." Real toast never does that. It sits there. It sometimes Burns.

@1womanworkforce If he’s working from the aol ap I would delete it and reload. We had a problem with aol a while ago. The old Ap wasn’t working. Change the password just in case on your web version.

@chrismaddern It's forgotten that before AOL and Google very few people used the internet and it had a really bad reputation of scammers and hackers. This changed over time with more users more web companies and better tools JavaScript, no Adobe flash, anti spam, Google, Yahoo, 2fa, etc

@elonmusk It’s been like that forever it’s nothing new. Ever since the internet began. It was happening before Napster. Even before MP3 rooms on AOL and it will never go away. Not with the price of cable then 400 different streaming services. People need to drop cable and force their hands

Some Crypto projects will be akin to @AOL & @napster in their infancy. However the top 100 today is not the same top 100 as 5 yrs ago and the top 100 today will not be the same in 5 yrs. While I remain optimistic I have to be realistic; some projects will never reach a new ATH.

@Just_this_time @damienhull Indeed. And former dial-up users that have moved to the "BYO Internet" plan ... actually have trouble understanding that they don't have to fire up the AOL client (like they used to) in order to "get on the Internet". I know people who still think they have to do this. For real.

The Internet has broken my brain so much that now every time I see someone fire dancing or juggling or doing any kind of showy type thing I internally say “wow” like the kid from the vaping video. I don’t remember being this silly when I was on aol as a teenager.
