@teleject @meyerweb It kinda does though... With MSN Explorer (yes that was a thing in 2001, competing with AOL) we enabled "toast notifications" and the name was because "the little thing popped like the toast on the screensavers." Real toast never does that. It sits there. It sometimes Burns.

  • sarahpilates Sarah Pilates (@sarahpilates) reported from Camden Town, England

@1womanworkforce If he’s working from the aol ap I would delete it and reload. We had a problem with aol a while ago. The old Ap wasn’t working. Change the password just in case on your web version.

  • dancall Dan Calladine (@dancall) reported from Wandsworth, England

@neilperkin You'd think they could find a fix. This used to happen with all AOL accounts showing up as 'Virginia' 20 years ago!

  • slavicking18 Paddy 🇵🇱 (@slavicking18) reported from Windsor, England

I still have an AOL email address so never question my loyalty

  • edgfrg anthony (@edgfrg) reported from Slough, England

  • lorrainemking Lorraine King (@lorrainemking) reported from Brentford, England

@NW6Rd You've just reminded me my contract is up with my absolutely appalling @SkyUK broadband. It's so slow it's like AOL dial-up

  • budgie Lee 'Budgie' Barnett (@budgie) reported from Richmond, England

CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

  • sjr66qpr Robbo (@sjr66qpr) reported from Richmond, England

    @londongirluk @AOLSupportHelp Still not working 😠

  • Alessandro_Babs LDN Scottie Pippen (@Alessandro_Babs) reported from Brentford, England

@KwakuMMNT 112 by default. Jagged Edge were broadcasting to us using 2001 AOL dial up. Horrible signal.

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • mattrickard Matt Rickard (@mattrickard) reported

In very bad taste, Ted Leonsis, Chief Executive of AOL, apparently told Bill Gates "to his face" that launching MSN would be "Microsoft's Vietnam". Of course, the MSN release was also accompanied by the release of a new internet browser, Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

  • aubsauce27 aubsauce (@aubsauce27) reported

@AOLSupportHelp still no luck with your steps to receiving my mail...fix this problem so I can get me email

  • AmbroseBurnsi13 Terry Sawchuk (@AmbroseBurnsi13) reported

@ChrisMurphyCT @MEPFuller This is garbage. You aol campaigned in relief and got stuck on vengeance. Do your job.

  • RandiSiegelEnt Randi Siegel (@RandiSiegelEnt) reported

@ABC7 👏 This is about accountability. @ATT provides a max of 3 mbps, claiming people are "too far from the service center" to get any higher. They've lied for years that it will change & they charge the same amount as those getting 15 & higher. No change. 1997 AOL dial-up was faster

  • AmCuriousNJ am.curious.sometimes (@AmCuriousNJ) reported

@AOLSupportHelp you are not allowing me to create an email account. I keep getting a message that says my phone number "doesn't look right" and can't be verified and this prevents me from creating an AOL email account. How do I solve this problem?

  • kamMCOC Kam (@kamMCOC) reported

@Shaswat7410 @EthanMa75322966 Cumbersome for sure. Stealth in this particular showcase finished it off pretty fast...but he had a good setup. He really takes his time in AOL tho. But still a decent option given his slow mechanic.

  • tanukigrlfriend mogthefrog (@tanukigrlfriend) reported

i firmly believe that discord is only popular because the last desktop program made exclusively for chatting was AOL we were all just so deprived for a DM program that everyone just went in even though it kind of sucks

  • FloMartinSec Davret (@FloMartinSec) reported

@HeerJeet Inconsistency is a big problem, going back to AOL message boards.

  • chukishima 🌿Sam (@chukishima) reported

little sam going on the aol browser cus my laptop went to **** from viruses and makware and that was the only browser that didnt run like garbage "what is you too"

  • TheCatPatterson Catherine Patterson ⚖️😷🐝 (@TheCatPatterson) reported

@jeremynewberger I still use AOL. I consider myself an early adopter of technology as opposed to a Dinosaur. I have decades now of establishing IDS for login using my AOL email. Not worth the effort to change. Emailing and inserting attachments is easy. Praying for your patience.
