  • chrisromerlee Chris Romer-Lee (@chrisromerlee) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail A family member has received the most appalling customer service from #aol. Utterly shocking. All she wants to do is reset the password as she’s been locked out & the response was effectively, go away and set up another account. She has replied, but I’m not happy.

  • bhutch41 Brian Hutchinson (@bhutch41) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail @AOL @AOLSupportHelp having rectified the continual WRONG PASSWORD notice, today it’s back again but only on my iPhone 7+, not on my iPad which is working perfectly. HELP!

  • brokenbottleboy Mic Wright 🏳️‍🌈🏴‍☠️ (@brokenbottleboy) reported from Poplar, England

When it first arrived — and I made a blog there within the first two months of its public existence — @tumblr was the near perfect blogging platform. Then AOL destroyed it. Now it’s a horrible jail where I can’t get rid of this dumb screen. Thanks @automatic.

  • xSarahSolomon Sarah Solomon (@xSarahSolomon) reported from Camberwell, England

@KwakuMMNT 112 by default. Jagged Edge were broadcasting to us using 2001 AOL dial up. Horrible signal.

@realSaganRitual @blaireerskine @AOC LOL damn. AOL was really that long ago?

  • CrushitI HDM Randy Crusher Dr. 1A&2A #Trump2020 (@CrushitI) reported

@P8R10T @308vcsiw7brbyv9 Oh the sacrifices one is told to make by AOL. People losing their livelihood, others their job just to fill AOL EGO. This just proves she lack any new & fresh ideas. Its like it doesn't matter how many people die in a hail of bullets' as long as you get the one your hunting down.

  • Mattfrom516 Matt (@Mattfrom516) reported

@ispyradio @RonMilnerBoodle They have to fix that. I feel like aol 7.0 when im on it

  • altruistictv alt 💜 (@altruistictv) reported

@DodorododoTv @vodafone_de The worst internet experience I have ever had. I think AOL 20 years ago over my phone line was more consistent than Vodafone has been in the 3 years since I moved here. I’d recommend AOL 56k dialup over this joke of a company 👌🏼

  • Crackedlens Cracked Lens (@Crackedlens) reported

@mtracey You absolutely can. Ask AOL and MySpace. There are viable alternatives already, they just have not been marketed properly to the masses. I have never bought anything from Amazon and no longer use Google at all.

  • ComradeJoeSmith Joseph Smith 🇺🇸 (@ComradeJoeSmith) reported

@justin_hart Terms of Service > Bill of Rights. You have to follow the rules if you want to play in the pool. It's been that way long before the AOL chat room days. People just glaze over the ToS and accept them as is.

  • SnortneyBell Night Court (@SnortneyBell) reported

@Humanstein In ‘95, AOL had just hit the scene, but it cost money to be online. However, it was free to go in an AOL customer support chat room. So, ppl (I) would enter a support chat room and chat w/each other as much as possible (a/s/l) before the Admin would enter the chat. True pioneers!

  • grace_za Time to Go (@grace_za) reported

@AdamSinger AOL was polite compared to the free for all, Yahoo! Groups. Here's the thing, even though you had to **** through far more garbage, Yahoo was far more useful as long as you remembered the rule: don't feed the trolls.

  • JordiPBoyd Jordi (@JordiPBoyd) reported

@EricMMatheny @ChadwickWiz No, CompuServe was much better than AOL All text, none of that horrible GUI plus no sounds to ruin your day

  • _GreatDelusion Dan Mitchell (@_GreatDelusion) reported

@admiralsid What does your 14-year-old-girl-in-an-AOL-chatroom-in-1996 response mean, then? Just that you think it's bad or wrong?
