  • dancall
Dan Calladine (@dancall) reported from Wandsworth, England

@neilperkin You'd think they could find a fix. This used to happen with all AOL accounts showing up as 'Virginia' 20 years ago!

  • lorrainemking
Lorraine King (@lorrainemking) reported from Brentford, England

@NW6Rd You've just reminded me my contract is up with my absolutely appalling @SkyUK broadband. It's so slow it's like AOL dial-up

  • dougmortonagain
Doug (@dougmortonagain) reported from Ealing, England

The first PlayStation came out, and Macs transitioned to Power PC. AOL is launched. Amazon was founded. Microsoft announces it will no longer sell or support the MS-DOS operating system separately from Microsoft Windows

  • Alessandro_Babs
LDN Scottie Pippen (@Alessandro_Babs) reported from Brentford, England

@KwakuMMNT 112 by default. Jagged Edge were broadcasting to us using 2001 AOL dial up. Horrible signal.

  • JosaKeyes
Josa Keyes (@JosaKeyes) reported from Ealing, England

@Miss_Snuffy Self pity finds many friends online from the earliest days of community forums up to today's toxic social media. "Share your support" we used to say at AOL and people did and lots was valuable, but a deep streak of 'alternative truth' bedded down there too to solicit attention.

  • pattif21
Patti Fordyce (@pattif21) reported from Kensington, England

@JackReganUK Even older than you: never had a MySpace account or zn AOL email address

@daniel_koss Current snapshot, maybe undervalued??? Long term...subject to change (eg. Yahoo, AOL, Prodigy, Cisco, Nortel, etc. ) anything can happen. They can 100X or crash....nobody can prognosticate 20 years down the road, but for now make the money get the bag and hedge and pivot IF, (emphasis) IF needed).

  • Mestre121
    Vinícius Kohlmann (@Mestre121) reported

@Mokimolewds 18. Never used AOL, since i am from Brazil. Never used a waterbed, but, always wanted to try it.

@MrsViolence 19. We never had AOL in my house. I do remember my first Yahoo address. I was RedDog69. I named it after the cheap 90's beer. And 69 because I was an insufferable teenager

  • llihkcirtap

@Matt_Pinner 19 of 20, never had an AOL address

    Ailuridae 👻✨ 🏆 🥀 🐁🪤 (@HereForOneGhost) reported

@Chimurusan I used AOL free floppies once or twice, but all their call endpoints were long distance, so no, never had an AOL address. "Dictionary" should presumably be "paper dictionary", since I use a dictionary at least several times a month currently, it is just online.

  • WarzonePrez
    WarzonePrez (@WarzonePrez) reported

@yukiwaru_ Yeah, but this is kinda like cancelling AOL or Sirius XM. You call up enraged by something stupid, and by the end of the call you somehow have 3 free months and forgot why you called in the first place. That kind of "cancelled", i think.

@themeasuredtake @hasanthehun Online people. I’ve been online since AOL. The internet never closes.
