  • SpacemanCre8 Spaceman - Andy G (@SpacemanCre8) reported from Ditton, England

Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

  • sweetmax22 Maxine Sweetman-Ive (@sweetmax22) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England

@BekoUK I bought a Beko VCS5125AR Upright Vacuum Cleaner in Red from AOL 27/2/21 and in the past week it has cut out after using it for 10mins and did not restart for 20mins. Not happy. I would like it swapped for a hoover that works competently for the use it was bought for!

  • ding_dong1967 Donna Connor (@ding_dong1967) reported from Sittingbourne, England

Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

@Cook_Estates @AOLSupportHelp At least I'm not the only one, was just on point of thumping laptop in frustration. 🙄 So will remain calm, now I know it's not problem at my end.

  • firthnet Rafal Kudlinski (@firthnet) reported

@aim @AOLDesktop That was a stupid thing to do. AIM and AOL DESKTOP could easily beat Facebook if transition was made correctly… shame on you!

  • ShantyMinister ShantyWorld is on #Mastodon (@ShantyMinister) reported

An instance is like selecting an email service. You may be on gmail, but yr pals on aol or yahoo. You can still email one another tho. That’s how decentralized communication works. If AOL were shut down, u cd migrate to gmail, etc. or u can start yr own server. That’s the concept

  • AustinAlbro Austin Albro (@AustinAlbro) reported

If the #Instagram Notes feature doesn’t remind you of @AOL AIM away messages…then you clearly never had AIM #Nostalgia

  • schultzywinkles Gail H (@schultzywinkles) reported

@JeniecePrimus @notcapnamerica No, It was an old site from years ago where waitstaff shared unbelievable stories about bad customers, famous or not. I've been searching for it because I forgot the name of the site. Possibly on AOL. LOL

  • LeeseyH Leesey Hyde (@LeeseyH) reported

@CollinRugg You can't see that he is driving Twitter out of business? Soon to go the way of MySpace and AOL. His offensive is just that, and when there isn't an interested third party to block him, everything he touches turns to ****. Just like TFG.

  • Jayroks8 Jay (@Jayroks8) reported

@jherrera5 aol chat rooms.. holy **** im old

  • McScorer61 McScorer61 (@McScorer61) reported

@herBUTTERFLYway @il0venostalgia That's not the AOL sound. That's the sound from logging into a privately hosted BBS (Bulletin Board Service) or CompuServe. AOL didn't exist yet when I first started going online. Neither did the World Wide Web. Yeah, I'm old.

  • AskillAbdul I’m Diddys side ***** (@AskillAbdul) reported

That update isn’t really bad it actually brings back memories. Do y’all remember aol/aim it reminds me of that. Also most of the people t the top of my DM even if they aren’t in them I actually interact with so it isn’t to weird.

What in the aol msn **** is instagram doing ?! LMAO

  • davidrlurie davidrlurie (@davidrlurie) reported

On his account, problem is that Facebook, Twitter, et al. (like their antecedent AOL) exercise dominion over content. Instead, sole roles of service providers should be as portals to social media content that is generically accessible to anyone employing the common protocol... 2/
