  • SpacemanCre8 Spaceman - Andy G (@SpacemanCre8) reported from Ditton, England

Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

  • sweetmax22 Maxine Sweetman-Ive (@sweetmax22) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England

@BekoUK I bought a Beko VCS5125AR Upright Vacuum Cleaner in Red from AOL 27/2/21 and in the past week it has cut out after using it for 10mins and did not restart for 20mins. Not happy. I would like it swapped for a hoover that works competently for the use it was bought for!

  • martinegilbert7 Martine Louise (@martinegilbert7) reported from Minster-on-Sea, England

Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

  • PhilLeePhotos Phil Lee (@PhilLeePhotos) reported from Gillingham, England

@Cook_Estates @AOLSupportHelp At least I'm not the only one, was just on point of thumping laptop in frustration. 🙄 So will remain calm, now I know it's not problem at my end.

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • atanas Atanas Entchev (@atanas) reported

@Geo__Don In 1994 I had all three -- AOL, CompuServe, Prodigy. I remember AOL charged $0.05 to send an email outside of the service. I eventually dropped Prodigy and CompuServe, kept AOL for old time's sake (or so I thought). Apparently not.

  • Parikramah Allama 1ball (@Parikramah) reported

@AshokSGarcha @P_I_N_T @NadiaMuradBasee This photo op is your excuse for helping pan-Islamists suffocate Yezidi voices even in Canada? When Yezidis came to India they acknowledged the help given by Hindu organisations like AoL. I am in touch with Yezdis in the US. Bo mention of “Khalsa Aid” help.

  • sonnekschmelz Brent Sonnek-Schmelz (@sonnekschmelz) reported

@MIT_CSAIL @markrendle Do AOL and prodigy count? I would think so. I remember coming back from winter break freshman year in 1995 and seeing a new Netscape icon on the lab computers. A whole new world. (And some of my stupid posts from then still exist. Internet eternity)

  • JoelPage Joel Page (@JoelPage) reported

Anyhow, in 93 I think I was on AOL, it wasn’t until 94 that I started doing dial-up to Lexus-Nexus after getting the Internet Starter Kit book by @adamengst. I can remember doing a precursor to IRC back in 86 (Bit Relay? I can’t remember) and BBS **** around the same time.

  • BlasianCocaine мιlєy pєтяσvα✨™ (@BlasianCocaine) reported

Like AOL?! Lmao, I’m never gonna get this.

  • Wolv0rine Wolvorine (@Wolv0rine) reported

@Ty_in_TX @TEWFuller @DaddyWarpig I was never on AOL, but I *was* on an early Commodore 64 paid service called QuantumLink (QLink) in the mid-1980s. In 1989, after ups & downs (& having come out with versions for other platforms like the PC), Quantum changed its service name to America Online.

  • DeathReveals Prostate Puncher (@DeathReveals) reported

The internet back then was so fascinating. Hearing that dial-up tone was like having your mind gaped open by a tool, as you could now access all sorts of knowledge on things you never knew existed. I'd spend hours talking with strangers in AOL chat rooms.

  • zzz_ebooks dz_ebooks (@zzz_ebooks) reported

Holy **** is a picture back but I couldn't finish it within 5 days a week before Google Reader's demise, launching Monday lol AOL is still the same since google reader went away.

  • suevon Sue Vonderhaar (@suevon) reported

@GottaWakeUpPlz I’m seeing this more and more, too. My AOL email inbox had a strip of “Let’s Go Brandon” T-shirt ads next to it, and I’m seeing many “Recommended for you” right-wing articles on my Facebook feed. I do NOT click on such garbage. The algorithms are whacked.

  • ASocraticknight Will A. Martinez (@ASocraticknight) reported

@abdool055 There are websites on how to hack into a instagram account. It's why I put little personal info in my social media acconts now. Some of the recovery experts might be spies who messaged that an account was hacked. Aol warned me of fake account hacking Aol emergency emails.
