@Cook_Estates @AOLSupportHelp At least I'm not the only one, was just on point of thumping laptop in frustration. 🙄 So will remain calm, now I know it's not problem at my end.

Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

@magickalslave After AOL, ICQ, Skype... everything's just a flash in the pan. Hence never getting into Telegram. An account was too much trouble for the info I was willing to share. And I've gotten friends's ids on other services... So I have 0 clue who anyone is in my Steam friends list.

@t0nyyates Yep. A lot of people seem to have a false memory of a platform that was always perfect and never glitchy... Things move on. Am still nostalgic for the aol mailing list for @TheBandCracker - that was probably my first online community back in the mid-90s.

@OSINTtechniques That is stupid too. We had trackers outside twitter. We will have trackers outside twitter. Twitter is as replaceable as Netscape, AltaVista and AOL.

@IndustryTDT They’ve been brainwashed and when it crashes they better not be surprised. When WCW got sold, they didn’t deserve it, it was a **** merger between AOL & Time Warner. When modern wrestling crashes, they will deserve it.

Businesses had local area network emails like Banyan Vines, MS Mail, or Novell NetWare. Consumers online services like Compuserve, AOL, or local BBSes (remember FIDONET?). When Mail Gateways showed-up it was a mess. There were competing standards for messaging, like X.400. 2/3
