@GHargraveWrites I never had an AOL email, but that's cuz in my part of Canada, an alternate company was sending free internet CDs around. It had a big red maple leaf and "free internet for life!" on the front. A couple years later they started charging so I guess I died.

@matthewlehew @ibogost Ooh, I’d [somehow!] forgotten about Encarta! That’d bring me down to 3: • no AOL (I’m in the UK) • no MySpace (I’d a LiveJournal instead) • never sent a fax (home fax machines were unusual here & we used to have an incredibly efficient postal service: alas no more 🤬😢)
