@EmilyDreyfuss It's the closed Internet part, like Facebook. I saw this happen on AOL (the original closed Internet) which is one of the many reasons people left the platform. Add in the terrible decisions by Google, Facebook & Twitter to overvalue & poorly execute the algorithms over humans.

@culta_klash I never spent hours of my elementary school summers on the Raven AOL Message Boards ijs. I had all the books and the clothing I was apart of the Fan Club. They had me by the throat.
