@harrypujols That wasn't Messenger, it was just AOL chatroom, which did exist in 1994. But I believe it didn't support colors either, which means they are using 2.0. And, that didn't have the "user typing" message indicator. Definitely not a huge deal, but yeah, incorrect on multiple counts!

  • WolfByMoonrise Big ACE Energy 🐺 (@WolfByMoonrise) reported

.@AOLSupportHelp Any other provider in the world has a way to reset your password. They have recovery emails. When asked about the price, your representative declined to say until deep into the call You scammed my 52 year old #veteran dad, because you used bad-faith design.

  • NinaThud NinaThud (@NinaThud) reported

Unicorns don't say ****! Right?! AOL was the biggest website and we all had dial-up.

  • godtieryuqi Lily ♡ (@godtieryuqi) reported

@xuanjfeng B'cuz of AOL I actually thought I'll end up hating her as well(since jinmi & her has similar problem)but I fell in love with her from the beginning & even when she stabbed him I didn't feel annoyed of her b'cuz I could understand her situation

  • Marcopelli1 KiplingsShadow (@Marcopelli1) reported

@RobbersonJon Ahhh memories. Going to Wal-Mart to get AOL, Compuserve, Netscape or Prodigy disks. What always irked me is that friends would tell me you didn't need those disks to have internet access. But, I never knew how.

  • JeremyNH7 Jeremy Letendre (@JeremyNH7) reported

@WWEUniverse @SuperKingofBros Peacock is on AOL Dial up right now! Wtf

  • OmegaGlodson Dad Dies Twice (@OmegaGlodson) reported

@BlissMelly It's funny because I'm slightly older but I ended up being chronically online via AOL in the early and mid 90s. I think I didn't start until 8th grade. Holy **** it was different.

  • harrypujols Harry Pujols (@harrypujols) reported

@fringeblog AOL instant messenger was released in 1997. Internet service was uncommon until 1995. The anachronisms in music were also too much for me to stomach.

  • PATLANTA404 PATLANTA404 (@PATLANTA404) reported

@Jame5pectations The worst part of AOL and dial-up internet is when there were too many people in the world online and you automatically got kicked off while you were in the middle of using the internet.

  • WolfByMoonrise Big ACE Energy 🐺 (@WolfByMoonrise) reported

@AOL the ******* who actually *charge you* to reset a password. My dad got locked out, and their "tech support" is a "paid, premium service."
