@BadLegalTakes Do we really want Meta writing the VR “bill of rights”? Should we allow Twitter to arbitrarily enforce its TOS when it feels like it? Probably no. But S230 as written effectively allows for this, because it was written when the biggest interactive computer service was AOL!

@justkelly_ok It looks like the Prodigy of 3D online worlds (Prodigy the pre-internet/pre-AOL online dialup online service, basically a glorified BBS, which had a proprietary GUI and hosted some games, where on a slow day you could watch the characters be drawn, curve by curve)

@AOL, it would be wonderful if a technical representative could look into why my email account was deleted out of nowhere, with no warning. I tried to log in tonight, it said you “can’t recover my account”, and now all of my Christmas shopping information is gone. Please help. 🙏🏻

I don’t like social media. I know, hypocritical to post this on SM. But search on FB, Twit etc. is awful. Format, organization and content algorithms are ****. SM in 2020s is AOL in the mid-90s. You use it only bc you must.

@jwillrosenberg @MarkNeuman18 Yeah. idealab! (with the exclamation point), CMGI. etc. I remember when AOL / Time Warner was announced in Mar. 2000. Almost at Nasdaq peak. I wonder whether there will be a mega-cap merger to signal the peak this time that ends up creating a trillion dollar goodwill writedown.
