An IRGC spokesperson stated that the shoot-down was in response to U.S. airstrikes launched against Iran earlier that day. · Location: Over the city of Khormuj, Bushehr Province, southern Iran. · Aircraft Type: U.S. MQ-9 "Reaper" drone. This model is the U.S. military's most advanced long-endurance, armed reconnaissance drone, with a unit cost exceeding $30 million. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
