AI features are cheap. 500 million monthly users who opened the app this week cost a decade to build. so Bending Spoons buys the loyalty, cuts payroll to the studs, centralizes engineering in Milan, ships AI on top, raises prices, holds forever. Evernote's personal plan went up 63% because the switching cost was always higher than the sticker.
