@BarclaysUK why did you suspend transfers with binance but not other exchanges if you are “protecting our funds”? Binance got insurance on funds, if anything, they are the safest exchange to buy crypto, yet you crack down on it. Hope everyone does the right move and switch banks!

@BarclaysUK @BarclaysUKHelp been a customer since the 1990s and have several accounts with you. For months I have been trying to close one dormant account. I have followed your instructions, made calls, sent letters, ID etc. But a/c still sits open - why? Time to switch banks?

@BarclaysUK @BarclaysUKHelp hey, just out of curiosity when are you going to start mortgage appointments in branch again? As the current system is absolutely terrible and not being able to see someone face to face is seriously putting me off keeping my mortgage with you.

@BarclaysUK Trying to switch my joint account to you to get the £200 switch payment. It says I must use the app to do this which I've done, but it didn't provide an option for joint. I now find out you can't open a joint account in the app. What a **** experience.

@BarclaysUK WTF? Opened an account in the App yesterday, now I can't access the app, or online banking. Keeps asking me for information I don't have, & I've got no idea if the information is being posted to me. Also got no idea if a Debit card is on the way! No communications...

@BarclaysUK dear Barclays, firstly I want to say I’m grateful for my mortgage I have with you. As my mortgage wasn’t straightforward at all and you approved it so thank you so I want to thank you for that. However I want to make a complaint about your member of staffs rather odd attitude with me over the phone today when I phoned customer services Firstly my card was frozen by yourselves totally out the blue for NO reason I just made a eBay transaction of £100 and I often shop at eBay. Now the customer service woman said Barclays had frozen my card because you detected fraud on my card. I confirmed with her there was no fraud all purchases were mine. I said to her that Barclays should notify their customers when cancel / freeze cards. She said yes we have texted you. I said no you haven’t but she kept disagreeing with me saying they had. THEY HADNT neither had they sent me any email notifying me of you freezing my card I was totally unaware of you doing this and why Now only through phoning up cust services did I find out you had frozen my card due to you suspecting fraud Now I said to the lady that’s fine you being secure for your customers. But I said it’s not good when customers are not notified. She was not sympathetic to my complaint and she had a abrupt manner and tone I wasn’t keen on her attitude Secondly if I was a mentally disabled person or elderly person and didn’t think to phone you or didn’t know how to get your phone number And I was out of my house no internet to get your number off Google Then I would have been stranded without use of my card and no way of knowing why or what to do That’s why I’m making the complaint so doesn’t happen to anyone else Your staff member had no sympathy with my valid complaint she had cold attitude I just wanted to make you aware of this

@BarclaysUK @Barclays please change your treatment of newly bereaved elderly widows. My mum is bedbound with stage 4 COPD, oxygen dependent, partially blind and was utterly surprised to find my Dad had a joint account with her. But could she access it? Not without several...🧵

  • MoyraCosgrove MoyraCosNutrition (@MoyraCosgrove) reported

Disappointing @BarclaysUK Cust Serv - didn’t know @MartinSLewis current account switch rewards & could not answer basic Q’s about the app. Questionable training? Hmm. Off putting for a potential switch customer (gone elsewhere)

  • KlaxonDelight M (@KlaxonDelight) reported

@BarclaysUKHelp You’ve lost a high net worth customer because you’ve made it progressively more difficult for her to bank with you. Just spoke to my father in law who switched from @barclaysuk to @AskNationwide. He was also totally dismayed by how rubbish you’ve become.

  • markbrimblecom1 mark brimblecombe (@markbrimblecom1) reported

@Barclays I’ve banked with @BarclaysUK since I was 15 — 43 years without ever being overdrawn or causing a problem. I recently received a notice that my account will be closed because I now currently live overseas. I still hold a British passport, pay UK bills, and plan to return home regularly , and intend to retire in the UK. I completely understand compliance rules, but this feels harsh after four decades of loyalty. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this now common practice for British expats? Feels like loyalty no longer counts for much in modern banking.
