Derek (@eeiio) reported@bt_uk Yes, that's where I ended up after logging into my bt account and a bit of digging, and providing my landline number. A simple page of ongoing problems in regions could have provided some reassurance that the problem was identified and being looked into.

My elderly mother’s landline phone is now not working, she has no idea what to do with the handset she’s been sent and she is very distressed!!
