@bt_uk That’s fine then. You’re happy to charge me for a substandard service with repeated promises that it’s going to get better. Open Reach want the Communtiy tonfund improvements. So I’m going to 4G and forgetting antiquated Land Line.

@kkkhan22 @craigr98_2016 @UswitchUK @bt_uk Possibly the location if the router, if it's near electronic items such as a TV, in a room with too many walls etc it can slow the internet down in other places of the home. Every WiFi has a 'not-spot' such as back of the house upstairs or even in the converted loft spaces.

If what you're looking for in an ISP is a service that makes data transfer of any kind frustratingly pointless may I recommend @ThreeUK. I can't wait for my contract to end. This message brought to you courtesy of @bt_uk

@bt_uk Thank you for the update Michaela. These e-mail outages are far too frequent and do not reflect well on BT. I hope the service returns promptly but, if not, would appreciate further updates on progress.

@bt_uk yet another hub delivered to my home to sort out an issue with my broadband that has nothing to do with the hub. We have had countless engineers come to our home to tell us that it is not an issue with our end. Now facing yet another weekend with the service I am paying 1/

@CarolynOtley @cumpstonarchive @bt_uk Current mitigation should be energy distribution networks supplying generators for longer power outages. As for telecoms, UPS/Battery backups but would only last a few hours at max. Amazon have solar battery packs to charge mobiles which may help too. pt1

@jamclarkey @cumpstonarchive @bt_uk I think the issue here is a lack of rural proofing. Yes, on average most power cuts are short. But when you live in a remote area, they tend to last much longer, you’re far less likely to have a mobile phone signal, and you’re far less likely to be able to drive to safety. 1/2

Relying on Internet can bring problems & it's not just being in middle of nowhere. My neighbours on Rossall Promenade been without internet for over 3 weeks. Apparently BT issue & not been able to 'sort it' ! Neighbours very frustrated to say least. @PaulMaynardUK @bt_uk

@bt_uk Yea I get that, but it doesn't really help us, especially when I'm supposed to be working from home as per the new rules but I have to go into the office, despite being deemed as 'vulnerable' does it?

@bt_uk Turn it down 2 degrees, wear a woolly jumper and you'll save twice as much again. Woolly Jumpers. Means Scottish sheep farmers would get some return for the fleeces. Good for Scotland. Try one sometime. DavieS.

@bt_uk: my elderly parents in remote Aberdeenshire have been without phone/internet for >2 weeks since Storm Arwen, broken line. They've had 3 appts for repair, but each time no-one showed up. They're mid 80s, with health conditions. Why isn't this being prioritised ??! @Ofcom

@bt_uk They have told me to talk to you. If all ISP's are allowing traffic to the site, and BT are the only ones not, then it's BT that need to resolve the issue
