@BigJetTVLIVE I named 3 airlines on the above. Why say 10mins if you knew it wouldn’t be. You still don’t get the hang of it. Most of the times when I watch the freeview there are so many errors in it it’s unreal. If you didn’t have enough time then that’s bad planning on your side

  • IvyVic18 Figgy (@IvyVic18) reported

@SueLamerton @susan1878 @BFinham So much on freeview that you won’t miss much 👍🏽 Iplayer fabulous. BBC Sounds brilliant too oh and World Service, the list goes on. I think bbc news crap but so what, there’s so much more to the BBC but as per, many have got distracted and turned against the entire broadcaster 🙄

  • SteveMillman Steve Millman (@SteveMillman) reported

@GizmoWalpole @sima_kotecha @lewis_goodall So the end of BBC education programmes. Along with lots of the other non profit making services cos we’ll be left with only the popular stuff - about right for a populist government. Plus, who is then paying for the Freeview network. It works because of the way it is funded

  • coaldragon 🌿 Jen 💐 °*•. Wear a Mask (@coaldragon) reported

@MattWWoolwich The problem is that the licence fee enables us to watch TV via Freeview. A reasonable model might be to include all that in general taxation. That way it would be funded fairly instead of the current unfair flat rate. Won't happen under the Tories though.

  • timrollpickerin Tim Roll-Pickering (@timrollpickerin) reported

I'd feel a lot more positive about the @BBC if it sorted out its @Freeview signal here so that it doesn't become unwatchable when it gets a bit hot. And no @FreeviewAdvice it's not about retuning sets, it's about transmitting on part of the band the transmitter is optimised for.

  • HelloPalendrome Hannah Jones Design (@HelloPalendrome) reported

@rach0907 @LlamaBusiness Virgin's dreadful for price hikes alongside declining service. Scrapped it all when we moved, can get everything we want on Freeview/Prime/Netflix/iPlayer. Then got a Humax box so we can record stuff if we want to. EE's internet is brilliant for the price too

  • DeusFoxy Post Brexit Foxy 🦊 (@DeusFoxy) reported

@PCarmichaelVO @NadineDorries Because they'd still be state-owned and under a PSB. And those niche audiences will still get the ad-funded skeleton Freeview service, and ad-funded catch-up on iPlayer.

  • AdyG28 🌍🌳🐟🙉Ady🤔 (@AdyG28) reported

@LBC It's the 21st century, if we are to be forced to pay the BBC so that we can watch 'Freeview' TV or any other tv for that matter, it should only be a news & education, perhaps local radio service. It should be at most half the cost of a weeks unemployment benefit (£40 ish?).

  • Nicolosobell27 Nicola R. 🎶🐰💙x (@Nicolosobell27) reported

...it hasn't helped. Our transmitter is Bilsdale (where there has previously been a fire) but all freeview support we go on says we should be receiving 140 channels. Any ideas? #freeview #BBC1

  • holdfast holdfast (@holdfast) reported

@ChrisJA15486090 @mikegalsworthy @girlyswotspider I have no idea how good/bad GB News is. I have no idea how to see it. It does not appear on Freeview, there is no app for it on my LG TV and I've never got around to installing the app on the phone.

  • highfivedave highfivedave (@highfivedave) reported

@GaryLineker BBC should be a choice.Cut down the waste & some of the ridicolous expense. Get a bit of sponsored advertising and I am sure those who wish to subscribe for the price of a licence fee will still do so. Should never force people to pay BBC to watch Freeview on a TV. This is 2022.
