@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

Well ****. The Bilsdale TV transmitter that serves the North Yorkshire region is currently on fire. So that means no Freeview telly until the problem is sorted out.

Due to a fire at the Bilsdale transmitter, our local North Yorkshire DAB multiplex will have reduced coverage. The incident has affected all services from the transmitter including Freeview, local FM and national/local DAB.

@f1redfive Hi Alex. Are all your Freeview channels off? I put Ch4 on 2.10pm to watch Countdown 🕛 & every channel No Signal ! so, tried switching TV off & on mains.. No Signal. Then got Freeview pocket TV out.. No Signal ! Luckily old Sky box in bedroom still shows free channels

@Dean0076103703 @GaryLineker No, sorry, you're lying. The BBC funds two of the six multiplexes that deliver Freeview and Freesat content nationally. If you scrapped the licence fee, you'd have to fund that from somewhere else. If you don't understand the issue, it's best to reserve judgement.
