Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly.
