@pdrisc @joeventre @TheLastUnionist Thats great and all - but what if you don't want that? Just because thats how its always been doesn't mean anyone should be obliged to pay for a service. There are easy ways of moving it to a subscription model given the move to freeview w/CAM

@just_simple_egg @kelvmackenzie The BBC isn't free. It enforces a TV license fee which has recently been extended to pensioners. There's no other streaming service that enforces payment and it the BBC was removed, freeview can be used minus the BBC channels. Don't make out like they do anyone a favour.

@ttsls Freeview? I’d get things like that if the signal was bad

@WatchtowerRome Terrible isn’t it? All the news is now opinionated and/or skewed while the only other thing freeview produce is stupid reality shows for the lowest common denominator.

@kittypurrzog Yeah they have TV license fees everyone has to pay. It’s what funds the BBC but they also get a service called Freeview which is way better than a basic cable package we get here. They do go check on people for TVs

@talkRADIO @mrmarkdolan @Iromg As mobile services take up more and more Freeview airspace tv will be internet only in the future anyway. Perhaps BritBox was set up as the stealth medium for public service broadcasting to earn subscription money, as all the main channels provide programming now.

@ttsls @justinbeadle Freeview? Is it more when it’s windy/rainy or all the time? Aerial might be a bit misaligned. There should be a signal strength meter in the tv or box, have a look at that.
