@Phil_Nourse @colinshone2 And the people said I’ll watch freeview and then said, well that wasn’t so bad and decided to cancel their virgin bloody broadband and moved to Sky on a better deal than £80 per month and now pay £49. That’s what we did 😁

Thanks to a random documentary on the collosseum on some freeview channel I never watch, Boy 2 & I actually had a chat about Romans that didn't involve him running away yelling "They're BORING!" I whipped out good old Pliny the E for the story of Pompey's elephants which he loved

Virgin Media is down so I gave no internet and no TiVo. I’m having to watch live Freeview without being able to pause or rewind. Like a peasant.

@desmo57 @steve_race Had Netflix and it was just full of trash, old stuff I’ve seen a million times and really low grade shows that you can find versions of on at the back end of beyond on freeview/Sky. BBC news reporting has issues which is most people’s gripe with the BBC.

@swissbernie @MargaretMartyn2 @YardleyShooting Erm, no you can’t. The licence is a licence to operate any equipment capable of receiving a TV signal, terrestrial or satellite. So, how are you receiving Freeview or subscription?

@ArchRose90 Freeview recorders would face the same dilemma. Prob easier to simply replace the unit for a new design with a card reader integrated. U.K. also has the FreeSat (free satellite) service which has identical issues. Sky + cable users could simply add BBC to their current package.
