  • Christi34653250 Christine Scott (@Christi34653250) reported from Longbenton, England

@ITVX I wish I could or that Freeview took on this network a lot of us on pensions can't afford satalite or cable

  • aquablu Nicola (@aquablu) reported from Whitley Bay, England

If we're in lock down for another 3 weeks, I really feel the #sonyChristmasChannel should be put back on #freeview...Will keep people in the house ( okay, it'll easily keep me in the house🎅🤶🌲

  • JonnyRoLi JR (@JonnyRoLi) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@Fern_McGovern @SIofting @jckhth Nope. You can pay for a better service. Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

  • GerryCarpenter3 Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

  • AddingRandomWit Adam Widdrington (@AddingRandomWit) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@bigpapablu @itvfootball I don’t have a sky or freeview box! I stream everything and have very good internet so it’s never an issue haha

@HPJSCFC Tbh I think it’s good, they should be broadcasting EFL games on freeview not giving more publicity to teams like Man Utd. Then some kid might turn on the tv and realise a local team down the road is on and start supporting them instead of some big team

  • NoscereVelle Michael (@NoscereVelle) reported

@WildEarth Thank you @WildEarth that UK freeview wasn't broken during the technical hiccups.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

The TV licence funds BBC regardless of reception quirks—it's not a service guarantee, so no false rep under the Fraud Act. Ofcom admits tropospheric ducting's a pesky physics fact, not deceit. Subsidized broadband? Smart pivot, as Freeview's UHF limits are baked in. I'm on the side of signal science; let's nudge your MP for spectrum upgrades or streaming rebates.

  • ukheather Heather (@ukheather) reported

@DailyMail I read this & it pisses me off what criminals get in UK prisons. Beauty salon, barista training, cells with TV, Freeview, DVD player, library they can order films & books from. Oh & she is PAID A WAGE. ******* disgusting. Prisons here aren't that bad, no wonder so much crime!

  • IMTobybrown Toby Brown (@IMTobybrown) reported

@JeremyVineOn5 The BBC is a fantastic organization. The problem with finding a future funding model is that there aren't many other ways to fund it. For example You can't do subscription because freeview and radio don't have conditional access technology on them

  • TracksideNZ Trackside NZ (@TracksideNZ) reported

Between 3am and 6am tomorrow morning there is a planned outage on Freeview that will affect our Trackside 1 and 2 channels. At this time Freeview customers will be unable to watch either Trackside 1 or Trackside 2. We appreciate your understanding.

  • BarryShatpeas Barry Gorilla (@BarryShatpeas) reported

@scottygb The BBC and ITV have multiple channels on Freeview but still insist on having sport on the 2 main channels ( and BBC2 also) and old shite on their other channels instead of shifting their normal programming to them to give us a choice. THAT is the issue.

  • landspeeder Ian Bailey🐀 (@landspeeder) reported

@weather_bee We've had this on occasions on Freeview when the signal from Hannington is disrupted

  • alison1010 Alison (@alison1010) reported

@kathrynhall_ Nope . Never watched it . We only have Freeview channels 😮

  • storey966 Tynmar (@storey966) reported

@ClarksonsFarm1 Quite simply, it's a subscription that you pay to use your freeview service. However, unlike other paid TV services, it is still possible to access those services even if you don't pay.
