If we're in lock down for another 3 weeks, I really feel the #sonyChristmasChannel should be put back on #freeview...Will keep people in the house ( okay, it'll easily keep me in the house🎅🤶🌲

  • AddingRandomWit Adam Widdrington (@AddingRandomWit) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@bigpapablu @itvfootball I don’t have a sky or freeview box! I stream everything and have very good internet so it’s never an issue haha

  • JonnyRoLi JR (@JonnyRoLi) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@Fern_McGovern @SIofting @jckhth Nope. You can pay for a better service. Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

  • GerryCarpenter3 Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

the Freeview website says there's no outage but everything else says there is. Gonna have the middle classes wandering the streets going feral if they can't watch bake off

@FreeviewAdvice The freeview signal in my area is very poor today and has been for the last 24hrs. Is there aprobelm with the local transmitter? My Postcode NR31 9

  • Viking_Sarah_1 Sarah the Crazy (@Viking_Sarah_1) reported

@finchoid Joking aside, two of my mates are functioning ****** addicts. After beers once I chased the dragon with them. You know where you inhale the fumes? It was ****! They were out of it, I was looking for something to watch on Freeview. I was actually quite disappointed.

  • infoproperty Andy Norman (@infoproperty) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Hi Freeview we have an apartment block in Malton, North Yorkshire. All the TVs have been retuned but the signal is weak and on most of the TVs the picture or the sound is distorted. How can we resolve this problem as it is affecting our business... thanks

  • SandraRankin_UK Sandra (@SandraRankin_UK) reported

@thursdaysangelx Virgin Media and Freeview also have it but it would depend on what content they buy into. From what I have seen it tends to be older shows. You never know, it’s not a channel I watch that much.

  • taz3677 louise stone (@taz3677) reported

@virginmedia Yeah seems to b we got this for the bedroom thinking it would be freeview channels and this is the one we have issues with. But there u go

  • JohnLoony John Cartwright (@JohnLoony) reported

Watching “Super Cyclone” (2012) on Great Movies Action (Freeview 41). Ridiculously cheap budget, low quality CGI special effects, amateur actors reciting scripted lines, narrow angle close-up shots (to disguise cheap small sets), corny dialogue. It’s so bad that it’s almost funny

  • EastLondonGroup EastLondonGroup (@EastLondonGroup) reported

@jwripple Ah, Ok: that sounds "better" John but maybe that's a relative term if the connection has come adrift! I hope you can get it fixed without too much of a problem. At least Sky Arts is free to view: one can access it via FreeView or FreeSat if you aren't already a subscriber.

  • ChewieD2 Graeme Hanks (@ChewieD2) reported

@tstrachanedit I used to watch it every weekend when it was on freeview but could never justify the spend when it went behind a paywall. Couldn’t beat having a lazy Saturday with endless cuppa’s and just tv. Good times!

2002: British Digital terrestrial television (DTT) Service Freeview begins transmitting in parts of the United Kingdom.
