Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

Kier Jong Un (@StickToFact) reported@loobylambchop @GBNEWS Then youβll have no TV at all. All other TV services, freeview, Sky or Virgin need a licence as they broadcast live TV. Amazon Prime doesnβt, it would only do that if you installed and used the iPlayer app, which also requires a separate login.

GSG2590 (@gsg2590) reported@JoshCF_ They're a joke now, two years ago the deal was Β£45 with basic freeview and Sky Q and now it's Β£63. They've also ended customer support on here and UK based customer calls. The app regularly messes up now, doesn't recognise you've paid and you end up getting charged again π

I like a couple of beers after working 9-12 hrs a day. Hardly ever get takeaways or take the Mrs out for a meal.
