  • aquablu Nicola (@aquablu) reported from Whitley Bay, England

If we're in lock down for another 3 weeks, I really feel the #sonyChristmasChannel should be put back on #freeview...Will keep people in the house ( okay, it'll easily keep me in the house🎅🤶🌲

  • GerryCarpenter3 Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

  • JonnyRoLi JR (@JonnyRoLi) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@Fern_McGovern @SIofting @jckhth Nope. You can pay for a better service. Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

  • AddingRandomWit Adam Widdrington (@AddingRandomWit) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@bigpapablu @itvfootball I don’t have a sky or freeview box! I stream everything and have very good internet so it’s never an issue haha

  • DBD365 Paul Day (@DBD365) reported

There seems to be a channel on Freeview called "Classic Who Wants To be A Millionaire" What ********?

  • JohnPHealy John Healy (@JohnPHealy) reported

@stroughtonsmith @stacktracepod Hi there. I’ve just stumbled across this tweet, and I think this satellite TV app is something I need in my life! I’m looking for a way to access my saorview and freeview channels from any Apple TV on my network. Is that what this is? If so, I would be super interested.

  • JaseHeeley Jase Heeley (@JaseHeeley) reported

@BuddClair As of this point, it looks as though there's no way we'll ever subscribe to a paid T.V. service like Sky or Virgin ever again. I'm happy to pay the licence fee as it stands, but Freeview's more than adequate, alongside Netflix and Spamazon.

  • Psythor James O'Malley (@Psythor) reported

@JamesCridland I’ve just got a HDHomeRun box that has two Freeview tuners in, and makes the channels available as IPTV on your local network. Then the app Channels (which is available for basically everything) is used to view, and downloads the EPG from the web, and it works great.

  • V8Hotstox550 Simon Hughes (@V8Hotstox550) reported

@Sotlive @BBCRadioStoke Is it not easier to listen through Freeview, given that most households now have at least one if not multiple Freeview enabled TV'S? Problem with MW, and has been for some time, is that the only way to get MW is in the car. So in many ways it makes sense. MW radios now obsolete.

  • AvanceBusiness Avance Business Technology (@AvanceBusiness) reported

@charliepick @ABCaustralia 1) So the ABC doesn't pay you a wage? 2) Yep great, so make it opt in. Forcing it on us is my issue. If I miss the news being broadcast on Freeview without the need to sign in why the hell should I need to sign in to watch it through an app 3) no data is safe

  • marshallmaps Roversgotmeagain (@marshallmaps) reported

@deGourlay I know that, I’ve hidden it on my Freeview box. I had paid Sky for years but their BLM support was the last straw. I am no longer paying any money to Sky so have defunded them.

  • SBabbcock Simon Babbcock (@SBabbcock) reported

@ThatAlexWoman Are you still having fun (with permission always I promise!) with my surname?? In return any news on when we can expect the much anticipated and needed @GBNEWS?? You tease us on having a freeview channel!! Is @SimonMcCoyTV really that bad and 20th century on IT??

  • GSWooster GreenSwizzleWooster (@GSWooster) reported

@leannef55 Ah, just Freeview here. We don’t get fancy service like that 🙁

  • FreeviewAdvice Freeview Advice (@FreeviewAdvice) reported

@gmomanyi2003 Hi Jeff, Freeview is only available in the UK. If the problem is with the box I recommend contacting the manufacturer, they should be able to help with any problems recorder related. Thanks, C
