Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS It also eats up a lot of your broadband. No problem if you're on an unlimited package, but for people on cheaper, restricted usage packages, that will cost. Freely is good where reception is poor, but Freeview is still needed.

Nor does it account for anyone who doesn't want/have broadband.

Ali-Pan (@alison_pannell) reported@Jenny_1884 @whinestop I believe the BBC needs to change it's funding model - preferably to a subscription service as using advertising would have negative effects on current Freeview channels. I would like to see a system similar to Sky so you could choose your subscription level.

Road tax was abolished in 1937. Road building and maintenance is paid by general taxation. Revenue from VED just goes into the chancellor’s pot.

Pretty sure it’ll be a lame as The Walking Dead from season 7 onwards. 11 is too many; the energy is gone. I’ll wait till the whole lot is on Freeview.

GSG2590 (@gsg2590) reported@JoshCF_ They're a joke now, two years ago the deal was £45 with basic freeview and Sky Q and now it's £63. They've also ended customer support on here and UK based customer calls. The app regularly messes up now, doesn't recognise you've paid and you end up getting charged again 😑
