Tom (@TomCushnie) reported@x20mjs @AvonandsomerRob The World Cup feed is full range HDR and because our infrastructure is so far behind technlogy they crush the colours into a limited range to fit into Freeview. Red and yellows look really bad with this. Although it looks like BBC are handling the picture better

Bryan (@htfc2) reported@MartinAsto6999 @NzFubar TVNZ+ has the WC rights. They are also after the rights for the NRL off sky. According to my local tv aerial guy we have only another 18 months of satellite service left, we latched onto a S.Korean one. Freeview will disappear, everything will have to be subscription.

LondonUnity (@londonA84648) reported@TheGriftReport There are millions of pensioners and older folks who do not have broadband, do not want broadband, would never manage with a new television / apps, and rely on their Freeview television service to stay connected to the outside world Switching off Freeview would effectively be an isolation/ death sentence for many of these people
