'@FreeviewTV with the main channels doing saturation coverage of the monarchy people will look for other TV to watch. Who watches 24-hour monarchy day after day? But it does show up just how bad Freeview is though doesn't it. It's rare to find anything worth watching!

  • Bute_Hoose Bute Hoose (@Bute_Hoose) reported

@srobb68 @Boukalaki @garryhooper It won't happen..... Also, Freeview is a consortium of broadcasters (of which the BBC is only part)> Remove the BBC altogether then you'll just end up with crap adverts and a larger bill to pay whichever entity comes in to take over.

  • themikeandrew Mike Andrew (@themikeandrew) reported

@FreeviewAdvice might be a stupid question but how do I know if I can get Freeview on my TV? I have a Sony 2021 Google tv. Does it require an Aerial or scan via internet? Doesn't seem to be an app available. 🤦🏻🤔 I have sky but no Aerial to connect.

  • mabel_samuel Mabel Samuel (@mabel_samuel) reported

@4Viewers Thank you for replying, unfortunately whilst your link works, when I try to watch via the All4 app on my BT freeview player, the only Chateau DIY listed on there is the last series from 2021. I've even tried searching for it via "last 7 days" and it's not even listed there. Help!

  • akadaz92 akadaz92 (@akadaz92) reported

@YardleyShooting Just flip over now and again,ITV as bad so stayed on freeview. To much 24\7 even if you support the monarchy.

  • EastLight EastLight (@EastLight) reported

@mashcore4mums @a516digital Not sure if the small delay on BBC 1 vs News is intentionally added, or related to the feed passing through regional centres? Freeview SD pictures are poor even on "high" bitrate channels though. "Dreadful" was my initial reaction when I 1st saw DVB in 1999- this hasn't changed.

  • pigeonmount Paul Hawkins (@pigeonmount) reported

@BBCLauraKT Welcome to 'Mournhub'. Thank gawd for freeview, Netflix etc. If it really get s bad I'll dust off my videos!

  • ascottreid Scott Reid (@ascottreid) reported

@scottygb Also - and I'm not an expert in this and I could be wrong - is there not a technical issue where it's a bad idea for too many Freeview channels to show the same thing at the same time? I'd assumed that's why BBC Three and BBC Four were off the air rather than simulcasting.
